After playing this once I had to redo in order to get all the stars to get to play another 'level'(?)
But now the terminal keeps rejecting the password code *which is correct btw.*

I was strugling with stage 24 and found the hint in this workshop, but I like to know how I was suppose to finde the right collors?

Well I finally manage to solve stage 19 ... I just did it in absolute darkness
Oh and in Mod32 version so that took care of the missing comments as well.

According to Mauritsio you have to play the modable version in order to be able to play Stage 19 right, but I was playing the modable version. However I turned modable off and now the colors are much brigther . But now I only see ''TRANSERROR" as name of the Stage and also not the comments after finishing the stage. I have not reached Stage 19 yet, but I think it should work at least a little due to this new brightness

Stage 19 is impossible to do for me. Tried the console option but that only disables the sounds so I am left both BLIND and DEATH as well .

THE Maker(s) should provide some kind of pass by, cos apart from STAGE 19 I really like this mod

i concur with what exe said and a .gro file would make it easier to play

I found the code quite easilly but I can't restore the backup beyond sigil 20, i think i need to go back to sigil 17 but how??

rainbeauxbread - Thank you for the reply but when I start the game, I don't have this popup box, I have the screen where it says "press any key to start" and, on the next screen, I have the menu with - play, options, bonus, quit...At least, I can play the other maps..:)

@robert - when you first start up talos, a popup box should come up asking you which version you wanna start up with. the second option is moddable. hope that helps!

How do I switch to moddable mode? I checked all the game options and I didn't find anything...!

"Who turned out the lights" I turned off the lights in the room I was playing in,it was night, this made my screen appear bright enough to see somewhat better.

breadpudding: I have beaten all of the puzzles including the Lost Stages puzzles. The keys are here:
1. Behind you when you teleport in on top of the wall.
2. In the bushes just outside of the initial teleport area.
3. On the troll statue in the middle building.
4. On top the wall in the middle building (climb onto the statue to reach it)
5. On the ground by the trees outside the middle building near the blue barrier.
6. Above the wall in the corner (same corner where red paint was).

breadpudding: The "who turned off the lights" puzzle is impossible on my monitor/graphics card/operating system, because the screen is PITCH BLACK with absolutely NOTHING VISIBLE. I believe that with a different operating system, monitor, graphics card you may be able to see something. But take my word for it that there is NOTHING VISIBLE on my screen on this level. And there are no monitor ajustments or changes to the graphics modes or options that alter this fiact.

ok, to everyone saying that "who turned out the lights?" is impossible, i don't get why. i got thru it no probs. maybe because i can already see silouhettes of everything too easily.

Someone pointed out to me that the "Who turned off the lights" level can be solved by entering the "Options/Graphics Options/Color Options" menu and increasing the "Gamma" and "Brightness" levels. This is an excellent solution to this problem IF you are playing the game in Windows! If, however, you play the Linux version of the game these "Gamma" and "Brightness" levels cannot be changed. Apparently there are limitations to the graphics API in the Linux version of the game. So the "Console" solution that I provided in an earlier posting is the ONLY way I know of that will solve the TOO DARK problem using the Linux version of this game.

rainbeauxbread: Yes on forgotten password just go through the portal and continue solving levels until you reach the level named "Just one Missing" or something like that. On that level go out the back of the level (backwards from where you initially teleport in) and you will find a pathway that leads to a terminal. Read the messages on that terminal named "query 42" and "query potatio" and write down those two passwords. Then quit the game and restore from backup selecting the oldest backup and you will be returned to the "forgotten password" level again where you can enter the 3-digit code. to get the missing sigil and continue with the game.

ok, i'm confused. after stage 17 "the forgotten password", are you supposed to just go through the teleporter and then quit the game to start a new one? i hear about people actually obtaining passwords, but i can't seem to figure it out.

Rusty: Regarding the secret code level. There are two codes the first is a 3-digit code revealed in the message "query 42". The second is a 4-digit code revealed in the message "query potato".
The 3-digit code is for the secret code terminal you are having trouble with, and the 4-digit code is used at the end to unlock the star force field.

Rusty: Stage 14 "The Unfriendly Sphnyx" is supposed to be solved an entirely differnt way.
Do the usual thing with the box, then grab the connector and head over near the box. Notice that there are two red receivers. One in the usual place and one far off in the distance on the Sphnyx's chest. Connect the red light source to both red receivers and watch the big Sphnyx blow the little Sphnyx to bits.

Sadly, I had to use the ghost cheat to get past the code input level. It just wouldn't accept the code from the later level, even with a re-start and generating a new code.

Been giving velociraptor code a try again. Stuck on Mean Sphnyx (sp? I probbaly also got the name wrong). Normally I solve it by using the cube to jump onto the sphynx and then from there into the sigil room . But, the increased speed makes doing this much harder. Is there another way to do it that I'm missing?

I decied to re-visit this. I was doing another playthrough, starting from the begging. However, this time when it came time to enter the secruity code , using the method of playing through to the end and restoring the backup of the stage with the terminal , it kept rejecting it! I tried a few times to make sure I had it right, but still has the same issue.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this maybe a bug?

The Lost Stages [SOLVED] In The Slow Motion level, you have to hug the perimeter till you get the connector, then you place the connector so that it blocks the mine and pick it up again. This disturbs the mine patterns enough so that you can make it to the center room without getting blown up. In The Secret Code level the button sequence is "Red, Yellow, Green, Green, Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Yellow" In the Enjoy the Movie level you just have to wait an HOUR for the gate to open. You can put something on the Fast Forward Key to speed it up to 6 minutes. The Lava Ground level is very hard your jumps have to be perfect. Get the Cube first, put it on the plate and go back thru the center building toward the barrier to reach the connector. The plates get high off the ground so if you miss a jump there is no second chance. In Sigil Arcade just mirror the sections where J's and L's are reversed and S's and Z's are reversed.

WHO TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS [SOLVED]
If, like me, you have a monitor that is too dark to see anything on this level don't dispair!
When the level "Who Turned Off the Lights" loads DON'T TOUCH THE MOUSE or:
If you already moved the mouse, take your hand off the mouse and hold X to reset the level,
then we use the system console which is visible even in the dark type:

Move forward until you hear the sound of the barrier.
Move just past the maximum volume of the barrier sound and type:

bypass other gimmick levels like the ones that make you change your system time or screen

@JReesW this is a little late, but yes, just play on the moddable version to fix the transerrors. i just found that out the other day.

JayJuann: There is a "TINY" box in the center room on one of the columns that weighs the same as a regular box. When you put the TINY box on the switch plate, it activates it just as a regular sized box would.
