I've noticed that sometimes the damage for twin fangs and thunderclap proc twice, which is not intended. It does insane damage, putting out around 60 damage on robotics and 40 on organics, one-shotting whatever it touches. I absolutely love this class but it feels very broken. Unfortunately I don't think its being updated anymore.

Aha, so THIS is what's causing a CTD on startup when paired with LW2. A shame, this class was one of my favorites.

It is also causing my game to crash. I think it was working at one point with my LW2 install, but don't recall.

Hi, I'm wanting to play Long War 2 but the game wouldn't load up. There would be an error. Verified integrity restored my config files and was surprised to find out that this mod was causing the game to crash when Long War 2 is activated!

Hope you can do something about it cause I really like the headhunter class.

I think what's happening is when I'm compiling the list of targets, I'm getting all targets.

then when I call "fire on target", I get errors on some destructible objects because they aren't near an enemy.

So for the moment I've changed it so it doesn't look at destructible targets anymore, units only.

Update: it seems that Rushed Shot occasionally works as intended. It will sometimes fire a shot at a random target. Other times, it simply does nothing and the soldier ends their turn. I notice that the times it seems to do nothing, there are always destructible containers (gas pumps, gas tanks, etc.) nearby that aren't actually valid targets because of the fact that an enemy isn't standing next to them. Perhaps they're related?

Heyo Grimy, I was just chiming in to ask if you've done any work on solving the case of the broken random shot abilities. I'm looking to get back into streaming X2 sometime after the new year and I love your classes. I would hate to take out the ones with random abilities because I think they actually have really great design space. I've been testing my new modlist to make sure it's working and I can confirm that at least Rushed Shot appears to be broken on my end. Thanks for all of the hard work on modding everything in general. <3

So I've been busy for the past, half of a year. there's been issues reported with my random fire abilities, IE spray and pray/rushed shot/etc

they are designed the same on here as they are on the headhunter.

they were working in my playtesting before i took my break, so maybe something changed and they broke. Or maybe it's a mod interaction, or maybe it's a specific scenario.

I'm gonna play an xcom campaign and see if I can reproduce it on my end. More details later.

This mod appears to be broken for me, the abilities that shoot random targets often fail to work while still using up action points. Is this mod abandoned or anything?

Brybry, does it happen when there is something other than a critter like a crate, fuel tank, radio tower in the available target list? Cause that kept gettin me.

Addtionally: I've knocked out any mods that could conflict, at this point I'm running a fistful of cosmetic mods, and some items exclusively from the modular overhaul collection, so there shouldn't be any conflicts. I do not have the attrition or realtime mods installed, but I don't figure that would be an issue either.

I'll join the list of people saying Rushed shot seems to be broken. Sometimes it works, sometimes it fails to take any action and just ends the turn. Something is still triggering, because it'll break stealth when used, but there's no attack animation, no damage/miss, etc.

I have a similar issue with Rushed Shot, but it isn't consistently broken. Seems 50% of the time it works just fine. I ran into the same thing with Twin Fangs, but again its only occasionally it won't fire. I cannot determine why there is no consistency with the issue though.

I can confirm the Rushed Shot problem, it doesn't show any damage.

I'm also having the issue a lot of others have described since the most recent update hit for OSX. So far only with rushed shot, which displays and does no damage on the shot screen. I have not been able to attack with rushed shot since I selected Thunderclap.

Reloaded and tried again. This time it worked, for now Ill keep saving before taking action with the HH, just in case.

Having similar issues like MoronicCinamun & Co.
Thunderclap and rushed shot both end my Headhunters turn without actually taking the action. (It doesnt always happen, though, Id say 50% of the time)

So I got back to playing after awhile.

I've found a semi-minor issue: The random targeting (can confirm with Rushed and Thunderclap) seems to be unable to target mindcontrolled enemies; in the same mission, first time there was a sectopod and another mind controlled enemy, and it just failed to fire (I guess because it chose the controlled guy). Later, when only mind controled was left and I went to put him down, it didn't work.

In both instances it uses the action and ended the headhunter's turn.

weird... I just used the ability again and it worked. It might of been some sort of glitch with the situation but I'm not sure.

I just noticed the same thing. I used thunderclap, putting it on cooldown and using a charge, but no shot was fired.

Does changing the charges to 0 in the ini simply make them unusable? If so is there a way to remove the charges attached and make certain skills only rely on a cooldown?

yeah I have not missed with Spray and Pray but the last time I used that was about a week ago before your latest fix. As for rushed shot that one I was using today and was still not missing though I don't know if you have patched that. I have not had the chance to actually test thunder clap or twin fang yet so I couldn't say about those for now. I'll see if I can get that tested soon enough.

yeah, all the random shot abilities are built using the same function. They should all have been fixed last patch.

I also have noticed that it seems that all of your random target abilities seem to not miss. I have yet to see Spray and Pray miss on Fury. I believe thunder clap and twin fang are doing the same as well.

So im not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet or not but it seems that Rushed Shot is always applying damage, even if it misses. Thing is pefect information will not say it missed but the bullet will be nowhere near the target but will still apply damage. It seems to hit no matter how low the percent chance to hit is.
