then locate the file "addonconfig"


find this in the addon config

change all 1s into 0 then save and you're good

tbh for a mutation from 10 or 9 years ago it became very very helpful even tho its a bit frustrating since the bots is shooting though walls but overall its a helpful mod.

Im not the first one to say this but i'm actually curious. Why addons dont work with this? I've downloaded it because i hace no idea how to test my custom HUD for Versus mode without having to actually join a public game, but i can't do this, nor try to actually play it, because it disables all the addons.

I'm not looking for some sort of work-around to whatever disables addons with this, which i would like to know still, but i'm more just very curious to what possibily could be doing this. Why does singleplayer versus (both here and with custom main menu addons that add it by default) always haves to disable addons??? It is some sort of janky sv_pure ♥♥♥♥??

There's a bug when you become the tank, sometimes the survivors become god mode and take almost 0 damage but the tank takes full damage

How do i switch?

bots gets stuck at numerous places and just hold the game hostage. if it werent for that this mod would be the best

Any way to make the AI bots smarter? So annoying when they're on your team, so boring when they're the enemy team because it's so easy. Workshop mods don't work

TO EVERYONE THAT CANNOT GET THIS WORKING WITH MODS, I WILL EXPLAIN HOW TO ENABLE THEM
(DOES NOT WORK FOR MULTIPLAYER VERSUS)

1) Go to the left 4 dead 2 game folder

2) click on "left4dead2" folder

3) click on "cfg" folder

4) open "addonconfig.cfg" and scroll to "restrict addons"

5) for the versus category change 1 to 0.
should look like this:

"mutation15" "0" // versus survival
}

After, save it and close, once you open l4d2 and go into the mutation, it will work. this will also work the same way with scavenge mutations.

Before it used to work with my mods, now its all vanilla

Can infected spawn rates be tweaked?

Love this addon, combine it with Left 4 Bots and Competitive Bots for a more challenging game experience as infected. Left 4 Bots will also make the bots properly do scavenge finales and use grenades against you. “Take Bot Item” is another helpful addon to take supplies from your teammates inventories to make it even more tactical and feel closer to real players sharing items.

It would be nice if you could use certain commands from the console such as healing the bots or eliminating the infected bots (more than anything so that it is a 1vs4 and everything depends on me, you know) and that way they won't end the game so quickly or well that's what I think and I don't know how difficult it is to do something like that but the mod is excellent (sometimes the bots forget that there are other paths and that fire burns or that acid kills, plus they rush and some get left behind)

bots won't grab gas cans to fill car at end of Dead Center or The Passing. Also the bots can take the game hostage on The Parish. On the last safehouse before the bridge finale, if you manage to die before getting into the safehouse, the bots will run up the ladder in the safehouse and stay there indefinitely with melee weapons and swing at the undead, never closing the door. the undead can never make it up the ladder before a torrent of baseball bat swings push them back down the ladder or end them. So far, everything else has worked very well though
