Give this thing to a Mantis or GigaMonke(idk if vanilla Monke can hold weapon). The torpor scales with melee damage and if you get a higher rarity one with like 500%+ damage....

I know I'm REALLY getting out there with a 3 year old Necro, but I feel like this could use a buff. 100 Torpor isn't awful but it's not great when something might need 80 stabs to take it down. It's nearly as bad as a base 100% bow in terms of Tranq. (90 vs 100)
A crossbow is far better, (157.5 vs 100), has an obvious range advantage, and doesn't take 400 Narcotics to make.
Is there any chance we can get a buff on this? Or how would one go about editing the files?

With 100 torpor this is very high in terms of cost. The fact that you have to be in melee range and take damage to use it makes it pretty useless compared to a decent longneck and darts. It might take longer with darts but you won't be constantly taking damage. You could easily increase the torport to 200 and it would still be fairly weak.

So does this weapon affect Taming Effectiveness if used to keep an animal knocked out? Seems broken if it doesn't.

@Quadruplipplex Because Annu8naki Genesis has dinos that have over like 300K torpor, and that the mods for dinos being higher level means it is harder to knock them out, it isn't OP, it'll be a little OP for vanilla, but not many people who have mods don't play vanilla

I think you've done a great job but maybe lower the narco cost to 200 say, just so it's more of a usable tool than something to grind for

the narco cost seems reasonable since this weapon essentialy has 1000 times the amount of usability of a pike or narcos alone

I agree with vanna. Nice for being able to tame Bronto's without having to stand on a ledge pelting it with rocks.

Why was my comment just outright removed? All I said was maybe this is just a little too powerful for PvP. You'd tranq someone in a single hit and no amount of Fortitude (save possibly 50 lvls or so, making it 100 Fort, and even then on the second hit it'd bring you down), making it just a little too over powered for my tastes.
