In my screenshot,"ITZ DA PLAN, MAN", are several ideas on test-driving a mod .

@dasaard200 Nice! :steamhappy:

IMO it's ok for these "expansionist" civ/mods to allow the player to go tall, skirmish and not have to warmonger early. For America and Brazil it's necessary as their first UUs come late, in order to survive into the Modern era without being too far behind (on higher levels)

Y'all please come on by dasaard200's last 15-20 screenshots for my reasoning and humor; fractal world, large, 4 players (its a test-drive) on Prince .

Methinks that roadnet and timed settlers solve the terrain problems; coupled with (RYIKA's) Caravansary Trade Routes mod .

In my original playthrough, I was goofing around to see how borders grew, having lots of help from barbs and neighbors donating 12 workers ...founded my first 4 colonies to grab new Lux's, and the other 7 silver . Then I had to thin the herd to stay afloat in cash-flow to tech up, but workable . On my end of the fractile world, I had Indonesia and 1 (one) CS, and am about to find Austria; don't know who else is here, yet .

Armed with Universities, I've cleared out the inland bay/sea, sighted 3 more CSs and BLOCKED OFF the bay, I finally turned cash-flow around, and can now go hunting .

FARMERS TO THE FRONT !!

i thought so

@Salt Enjoy!

(Note: your borders will eventually bump up against neighbouring civs and city states)
Saltshaker May 1, 2016 @ 5:40pm
YAY *makes own map to exploit that*
blkbutterfly  [author] May 1, 2016 @ 4:10pm
@Salt. Yep :steammocking:
Saltshaker May 1, 2016 @ 3:59pm
so i could in theory, if i had a grassland map, i could expand infinitely with farms?
blkbutterfly  [author] May 1, 2016 @ 5:59am
@MrDisc I'm still trying to figure out if the rate of expansion is too OP. So thanks for the feedback.

FYI border expansion bumps up against any desert, snow, tundra, ice, coast, etc. So geography is another limiting factor

oh ok
blkbutterfly  [author] May 1, 2016 @ 5:49am
@MrDisc In theory yeah. Take a look at playing The Inuit on one of the snow/tundra maps like Ice Age, Arctic Circle or Frozen Frontiers. By the end of the game the cap has claimed a vast territory, but it does kinda plateau :steamhappy:

u can just claim a whole continent by building farms xd
blkbutterfly  [author] Apr 27, 2016 @ 8:31pm
@Toheck Yeah I think it's OP too. But it's very subtle. In which case The Inuit is too (on certain maps) :steammocking:

Any suggestions? Should I slow down the pace of expansion?
Toheck Apr 27, 2016 @ 6:40pm
This is probably OP, but it's really neat.

I like it.
