universe sandbox has been in early access for 10 years

updates take months are actually useless additions nobody asked for they claim to fix bugs but the same issues remain broken

Their Roadmaps are lies they promised astoroid burn up features in march its now august and still nothing

im done waiting this just a lifestyle business at this point their living on our money with no intention of actually finishing the game

I've been using Eyecandy for years and always noticed how it resets the time to 7am or so after a certain about of time goes by even if the time is paused. I've wondered about it but just kind of lived with it. Is there any plan to fix this or am I doing it wrong?

There's no shortcut? I lost the icon when I try to put it on UUI and now I can't make it work anymore.

Still prefer this over Render It. Just easier to achieve the desired look

When I set the time -for example 9am- and stop it every few minutes is goes back to 6-7AM. How can I stop this?

This does not show up in my mods lists even though im subscribed to it.

Partially working, time of day and simulation speed stopped working suddenly. Time of day slider is dark blue.

@Marzsala if I remember correctly the hotkey is Shift + U and the button looks like a thunderstorm cloud, I think it was near bottom right

While seemingly abandoned, this still works perfectly fine for me, for now.

RenderIt is a newer alternative.


@D2 @Patient just fyi, I'm not getting any error regarding this mod, so maybe its a conflict with some other popular mod?

I just started using visual mods lately. I found a video with a visual mod collections and a list of settings to set. It looks 10x better for sure.

It'd be nice for ultimate eyecandy to be fixed up for even more realistic visuals.

I see there is a GitHub for this mod, so a modder or group of modders may be able to get it going again.

Seriously. Render It! is too fucking complicated. I had such a beautiful LUT that was ruined by the update.

This is still the best for grahpic mods. I tried render it! but the game looks ugly and complicated to use.
Ulitmate eyecandy + post process fx + relight + ULOD are still the best graphics mod combinations.

Why would anyone use this outdated mod anyway? Every function that it has can be achieved with Theme Mixer and Render it!

"sucks" and "ugly" aren't the words I'd use; Render It has tons of useful settings.
Before the update I was using Render It and Ultimate Eyecandy (and Theme Mixer 2) side by side.
But I do feel Ultimate Eyecandy gave the best control over ambient lighting. So I will miss that.

Yeah. Update broke the mod and now you get a critical error whenever you load in. I stopped playing until it is fixed. The "alternative" Render It! sucks and is ugly.

@D2 I havent played since the update, did the update finally break this mod?
Fairly certain the author is never returning so somebody else would have to pick this up / make a fork.

i totally agree, i just find that Render it! is a complete downgrade from this mod, especially the UI in that mod, don't...like it...

This is such a great mod, unfortunately it is no longer being updated. But this mod contains many options that you otherwise only have together with different mods.
I hope there is someone who can and wants to breathe new life into this mod.

It's a great mod, but it brakes my sun;(. Like it's evening and sudently it's in the middle of the night<3

This causes errors use play it instead.

So I am having issues where I turn the fog down and within 5 minutes fog rolls back in. I am on the seven lakes map. Any suggestions? The slider/bar does not adjust but it just goes back to being beyond foggy. A simple move in any direction brings it to the value it should be on.

I have the same problem of LUT resetting after clicking on public transportation panel. Trying to turn off "Automatic Color Correction Override" option in Render it! mod settings may help.

Yes if you have Render It, read the description / comments for that mod; you need to make and save a profile in Render It that has your LUT selected otherwise Render It will turn off your LUT.

I'm thinking I might finally sit down today and try and reproduce Relight and Ultimate Eyecandy setting's in Render It and Play It so I can finally ditch ultimate eyecandy and relight (and subscribe to play it).
I've been avoiding doing this until now because I never like the exposure setting in Theme Mixer 2.
