you dont have to buy one or use hamachi, i made a private server for me and my friends to play on so we can use gamemode , mods, etc. and it also has functioning "resouce.addworkshop" file so they dont have to download the mods manually
they is many tuts online that are easy it follow

If you want to host server on Garrys mod you would have to either buy one or host one from hamachi or some type of program that works with the same functions

Guess Who is a gamemode for Garry's Mod. Some people have it so they can't download data from servers so they asked me to make a content pack.
