You do have a point there, but you must take into consideration that does it look good on certain class or does it not depends on the person who's judging. Even if it's not going to be added as an all class item it allowes you to make up your mind abut how it fits different mercs without wondering "how would it look like on other classes" . However I agree that sometimes this all class option feels a bit forced.
