Oooo crikey. Never thought of that. Guess adding a ; in front of these lines (XComExplosionsDestroyCorpses.ini) is the thing to do (runs off to do that):

you only destroyed loot in the base game if you kill them with the nade. same was true in EW.

Are you sure meatbag?? I think I do remember getting loot from people I damaged with nades. Is everyone else getting loot if they damage a guy with a nade??

Note: This will disable obtaining a corpse from an enemy if you use explosives against them anytime - not just for the killing blow.

Using a grenade against a Sectoid, then finishing them with bullets will not net you a corpse.

Turrets killed via fall damage show up as corpses (wrecks). Good to know that's not going to be a problem.

well fall damage caused by explosions destroys loot drops right? i havent tested but I would assume it still destroys the corpse

Perfect. Now I will never succumb to the 'But... nade works just as well-' method of choosing how to kill things in the early game :P

I assume fall-damage caused by explosives would still leave a corpse? Never sure if it attributes it to the weapon causing it or if it has it's own damage type. (Though, mind you, come to think of it, even less reason for those corpses to be left whole)
