Pretty sure you need a map with fog in it already so the default box maps won't work with this (i think)

Don't listen to the recent comments. This is the easiest thing ever to use and it looks amazing. Took me 2 minutes to get it going and to the settings I liked. People are just too brain rotted to spend a few minutes to figure it out I guess lmao.

Here is a tutorial:

To use it, subscribe to it, restart SFM, then go to the scripts tab and click on "realistic fog". It'll then open a tab called just that. Click the box that says "Turn On!" and then turn the Red Fog, Green Fog, and Blue Fog up equally to whatever amount you want, then click "SET". Click back onto the project and it should now be there.

So I'm aware this tool only works on maps that are equipped for it, such as the fog void. If I wanted to use this in a custom map, what entities would I need to put in so the tool will work?

Absolute trash.
Without any tutorials you're more likely to break your session than anything else. Don't bother. Instead use the map recompiler tool from SFMLab if you want to remove fog entirely from a map.

If your fog doesn't show up that means the map your using doesn't support fog. That includes black_void.bsp, use this instead https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1144405904
