Also throughout the game I noticed an inconsistency with the map "camera"'s zoom. When I zoom in and out, the camera jumps all over the place. I'm not sure if this is something quest specific or a problem in all SDK quests.
Other than that, it was great and a very clever way to incorporate enemy AI into the quests. The first time round I got overwhelmed by the Krolm kingdom spamming Rage of Krolm but that's just the way it goes and I suppose it was my fault for being so slow to set up. I reset it and this time the Krolm kingdom didn't touch me until many days later. I went with Agrela, Dauros, Helia and Dwarves. The purple kingdom was the hardest to defeat!
My first time through only the rogue kingdom was bothering me at the begining, so I killed them by gating a clump of heroes to their palace. The wizard/barbarian guy is definatly possible to be dangerous if he targets you early, but its still managlbe, even if you play nice with the computer and don't use magic. Even if you targetted its not as bad as Wrath of Krolm/or Random Freestyle. Plus he'll thunderstorm you when you go in for the kill. Unless you do him last, in which case you'll have enough gold to flatten his palace with lightning bolt from full health. It was still fun getting the wizard towers close enough.
You could remove "cheese" by starting the player with one market and taking additional inns/elves/marketplaces off of the build menu, or you could leave it as is. This map is pretty fun to use as a sandbox even if you don't care about the challenge.
I understand it's pretty hard (if Red chooses you not Purple as first target it's very hard). Manage to get more gold and spam splash spells.
The AI repeatedly put attack flags on my buildings after roughly 15 minutes playing. This causes your own heros to attack your buildings and peasants. You can rebuild them but the AI will just keep doing it making it pretty much impossible.
It looked promising and was fun, it was very dynamic indeed. It felt like the red was really really strong, and really early (The AI just stomped over 2 dark castles and was starting to raid me like it was nothing). The green wasn't dangerous but this gameplay takes time before reaching it's peak (compared with Red and Purple who just clear the weak/medium encounters pretty easily).
I've always liked the type of quest where there is at one massive threat. I'm pretty sure placing a Yeti's / Wendigo's camp (or any expert/advanced camp) in the center would make early adventuring and raiding more dagerous and less rewarding for Red and Purple (especially red). I think it would slow the paste.
- I beat this quest really fast with almost no difficulty with the other kingdoms, so making it a bit more difficult would be nice
- I am not sure if this is a glitch or not, but trading posts have to be placed REALLY far away from the market, like I think it is much further than usual, so if you where able to shorten that distance it would be very nice!
- The song that plays in the quest overview screen (right before you start the actual quest) kept on playing through all of the gameplay, and never stopped.
Overall though, this quest was pretty fun! You did a great job on creating this!
