Thank you so much! I keep trying to get my friends to play custom campaigns, we've only played each campaign 1000 times over the past 16 years. Hopefully we can get to playing yours and that one.

Before The Last Stand update Cold Stream had no survival maps, which is what this is based on. But I can look at potentially adding them down the line when I have time if it's not too much work.

@(ZOMMINATOR) Glad you like the lighting changes.

As for the comments about stolen content in Cold Stream, I’m not too sure to be honest. I believe Valve did have to step in and remove some of the assets that were in the beta version of the map back in the day, which is why Rayman had to make a missing content fix on workshop.

In terms of the creator “cheating” to get the map in the game, I’m not entirely sure what you mean. I believe Valve liked the 2 evil eyes campaign and decided to reach out to the author/add Cold Stream as an official map.

Although, I’m not entirely knowledgeable on all of the history of Cold Stream so take everything I’ve said with a grain of salt.

Love the night time entertainment of cold stream, even better than the original.

I also really believe that this should’ve have been the official cold stream. it would go real well with L4D1’s theme of most of the campaigns being dark.

May I ask you a question KingDavid if you don’t mind if you know anything about I just thought I’d ask you since you’re the one with a custom night time campaign of cold stream

On a 2 evil eye campaign in the workshop is it true for what people are saying in the comments that the official cold stream had stolen assets and original author/creator of cold stream cheated into getting cold stream officially added into L4D2?

If so what made cold stream stay on L4D2 from it being officially cheated into the game?

@Bobinsox Thanks for that tip! I've now discovered this Mutation thanks to your comment. And if you're looking for an experience that's even more unsettling, I've come up with a makeshift way to play Darkness Falls under Last Man on Earth conditions, essentially combining these two Mutations. Load up a map / campaign of your choosing via the console, and also enter the following commands into the console:

sv_cheats 1
z_common_limit 0
director_no_mobs 1

The console name for this particular campaign is 'map c13m1_alpinecreek_dark'. And ideally try this out using one of the various mods that do away with the HUD either entirely or leaving just a health counter in place.

Interesting idea and the lighting from the fire looks dope, but it's almost impossible to see special infected (especially hunters and smokers). My friend and I tried to play this campaign on Realism Expert, but we got stuck on chapter 3

Playing this map with Rayman1103's Mutation Mod set to Darkness Falls is quite literally a horror experience. Reminds me a lot of that one Cry Of Fear level. 10/10 map, and I highly recommend using the mutation I mentioned earlier.
