Sadly these Thruster seem to still "suffer" from the unrealistic, old, Inertia Dampeners. Meaning while inertia dampeners are on, they somehow provide more Newton than they should.
This, for example, results in my ship being able to float in atmosphere, but i cant fly up anymore with Space or Thruster Override.
These Dampeners were fixed in Vanilla apparently for a while now, according to official Discord Server

i use tiered thrusters ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2755346115 ) for that, though the thrusters in that one dont reach the amount of thrust than the ones here there are all thrusterversion in it and in addition variants of gyros with different amount of power.

is there an industrial DLC hydro thruster tiered mod? anyone knows?

Have used this Mod a long time as it solves most engine problems. I consider it one of the best.

Tried running this mod after latest updates. It seems to cause a crash when the G Key is used to adjust menu bar buttons.

4 Mods running: EscapeFromMars Wico; Text HUD API, Buildinfo; Tiered Engine Super Pack

The first three mods together do not cause the problem. When TESP is added in the 4th position the problem arises.

Why does it have to replace the original hydrogen thrusters?

Hmm it has the dlc in it but no DLC requirements listed. Means is chance gets taken down if reported. As devs dont like their stuff released for free. Unless he figured out way to put a trigger to only do dlc you own? Far as I know thats not doable?

But his mod looks real good.

@STALOWALOVA I suggest checking out Outlands Engines by Harbinger Ace, It was developed to replace this mod for a series on YouTube so It could be better balanced and updated.

Ion warfare engines are visually better than the classic ones.
I'm waiting for the mod to be improved because it helps in many ship building issues.

somewhere around the end of last year where a few comemnts about adding dlc stuff.

i try to remember it correctly and cut it down to the basics:
dlc thrusters will probably be a seperate mod for each dlc that did bring thrusters cause else everyone that doesnt have the dlc´s wouldnt be able to use it cause it would needed to be flagged to need dlc´s for the dlc blocks or the author would get probs.

also around that time was said that the main author (which would be the only one to update the files because of hwo the workshop is organized form steam end) is quite busy, dont know if that is still so or if it changed in the meantime.

can someone update this mod? since 2019, a lot has been added to the game (DLC) and the mod still has the basic look of the blocks.

Eagle, Tiered tech Block has those going up to T3/8x.

they've got their own Sci-Fi thrusters, which have existed before both those SE expansions you mentioned.

This is cool, but could you also take the next logical step and fix Keen's error? They completely ignored a vital fact about REAL hydrogen thrusters: to burn, hydrogen requires oxygen at a 2:1 ratio. (Atmo engines using hydrogen can get away with this as long as the airflow is high enough, though efficiency would drop with atmospheric pressure.) If you could create hydrogen thrusters that are realistic, that would be MUCH appreciated.

ok so i can confirm most of the armored thrusters lose their textures after you reload the world/save. so sad i was enjoying this mod

hey man another quick question; did you add any custom sounds at all on this mod? im a modder just curious for some testing im doing.

i just tested this mod and its super balanced and awesome man! as a fellow modder i say: this should be in vanilla! who is tired or fly boxes of thrusters? :)

Still atmospheric thrusters (T2 ones in my case) are disappearing in build, except their core turbine part.

We use this Mod on our Survival Server.
Works very well.

Especially the T4 Armored Thrusters are genius they need not so much H2 and have a real nice Thrust ideal for big warships. And the flame looks so nice

More thrust with comparatively less hydrogen, if you built equal numbers comparing Newtonian Thrust getting exerted these would cost less hydrogen, though compared to a 1:1 thruster they cost more hydrogen than normal, on a reduced percentage overall. Example: A Tier 4 Hydrogen Thruster might provide 165% Hydrogen Thrust Capacity with 150% Fuel Cost, a profit of 15% extra thrust, meaning you could then build 2 Tier 4 Thrusters, consume enough fuel for 3 Thrusters, but get 15% more thrust than if you had built 3 thrusters, this is offset from component cost & production time.

are the higher tier Hydro thrusters use more hydrogen? or less?

You're talking about the armored atmospheric ones correct? Same problem with me, I thought it might be an issue with my graphics card, some setting I need to adjust.

Yeah, My engines keep disappearing as well and usually takes a restart or two to get them to reappear.

from my experience it need smore fuel to run but not as much as you woudl need to run enough vanila h2thruster to recht the same amount of thrust

Do these increase the resource requirements for the engines to run proportionally? I.e. does a t4 hydrogen require 16x the hydrogen to run?

I would second the opinion of the Sci-Fi thrusters they look really good and fit a very different style. Most likely a secondary mod that is only them would be good.

btw the regular T3 small hydro thruster scales accordingly on a big grid, but the T3 armored hydro is always huger for some reason.

Are you ever going to add the sloped Atmo thruster? The armored thruster mod has the exact same blocks but with that addition. But I like these better because I don't have to cover my ship in thrusters.
