I think that your new character is less cool because it's less interesting in appearance. How many characters have you seen with a TV for a head? Lots, probably. How many robotic characters have you seen? Probably lots. How many characters with citrus-based heads have you seen? Now that's something new. I love how the texture of the body looks. It looks especially realistic in the thumbnail. Same goes for the orange. If not you, somebody could toy with a revamp of this (with permission, of course).

I actually like this a lot! I would love it if you went back and updated this! To be honest, I prefer this over the new one. All it needs is better rigging.
