yeah.. F for this mod
You want to see if you can do better, be my guest and produce a voicepack. otherwise, shut up.
Looking at XComGameBoard.ini, people from South Africa are set to use Language="englishAUS"
All are: Language="english"
If Language="english" was changed to Language="englishUK" they'd have a chance to show up randomly (i.e. without my specific intervention to assign the voice to a soldier) for soldiers from the UK and Scotland nations?
As it is these will be used by Canadians, Americans etc? Er. I think...
No problem, it wasn't ignorant at all. I just wondered what you considered British as the island has quite diverse accents. They are labelled in XCOM 2 as British also, despite two being English, one Scottish and one Irish, the Welsh are not in it at all.
It was a Welsh accent I was looking for, seeing as they are not in the main game.
Thanks for letting me know.
@Punkster Daddy Well I only based it on their names in Long War. May sound ignorant I suppose, but since they were referred to "English 1/2/3" and "Scottish 1" or "Irish 1/2", I just assumed "English" stood for British... I do realize there are also different British accents buuuut, I'm not that into accents to know them THAT deeply :D I'm working on providing a short trailer, to give people an idea on what they're getting into. Perhaps that should make things clearer?
To make it short, yes - I equated "English" with "British" in this case.
Just so you know, the compiler will generate this every time, so you'll probably need to write a batch file to delete it.
I'd like to use them all but I was just wondering what you mean by British, is that English to you?
Thanks for the tip, I'll make sure to remove it for the next update, same goes for the other things I've done.
In any case, I'm sorry they don't work for you :<
Could you perhaps record such an instance? Or give me an example of when it happens? Thanks!
