Once you sub / download one or more designs, you will need to restart your game before they appear. Go to the Ship Designer and select New Design.

There will be tabs under Hulls marked as All, Core, User and Downloaded. It should appear in the Downloaded under the hull size (in this case, Huge). Select it and you can now either save as a Ship design or Ship template. (Save as template)

Once you have a template you can open that template in game I believe and tweak it from there. Note that all downloaded ships are blank slates and need to be equipped with the tech you have unlocked. Hope this helps

@ Doom Bunny, I'm guessing you have it, just cant find it when designing a new race? If that's the case, find the ship in your designs and hit save ship. A save option will come up and select Save as Template, this should put it in the Ship designs in the race builder. You wont need to have any DLC for it, its pre-dlc. I really need to remake it I think.

Ok, I'm feeling dumb as I can't seem to find this awesome ship. Am I missing a DLC or can you not use it when designing a race?

Yes, It wanted two though. There are a couple of things not quite correct which I would adress if I remake her, although Im still happy with it atm and have a lot more pressing things on the to do list

Thanks It was the plan to build more Star blazers (and others) although I do get horribly side tracked at the best of times. I am still working on Battlestar atm which takes up much of my design time and dont want to push myself to hard or I may burnout and need a break from designing all together. There will be more though

I really love your ship designs(*cough* best in the workshop *cough*), would it be possible to see other ships from the Yamato series like the Andromeda from you too?

maybe when i get some more time on my hands ill endure the pain.I recently tried to make the astrofighter but for some reason I just have to really be in the mood.Ill get back to my B5 ships and finish those off first i guess,those came along really fast.This starblazers stuff with the amount of detail plus trying to find the right parts then get them fit on the ship the way you want it...good thing im bald because I know Id of pulled out much hair on the Argo.

lol, thanks. I use all parts both normal and dlc, doesn't effect the ability to use it in game though. I'd still encourage you to keep trying to build it though. This is a tricky ship but the experiance and techneques you will learn are well worth it (as well as the screaming). I still need to fix a few things on this ship soon but am happy with it for the moment.

ERIKA dont forget when your working on your ship finished or not....Save the design first then save the game.Best to get an easy game to work all the way up the tech tree and use that game for your ship designer.I did the andromeda and after working on it for hours i was tired so i uploaded the ship to steam saved the design but didnt save the game and went through all kinds of grief trying to get the ship to show up in my game.

It's because your must research wave-motion technology and then obtain the cosmo-DNA. You must be strong and brave, this mod you have to save.
