needless mod. based on the pictures looks like u took the one nation with a solidly and obviously african leader (aside from what aksum is supposed to be) and made him arabic and the units even more arabic in their phenotype.. Africa/black pple already gets an INCREDIBLE amount of neglect and disrespect from the gaming community (and other communities but i digress) , there was no need to take the one nation with an african leader and make him a-historical (the units were already waaay too arabic phenotype heavy and u just made it worse smh). And the Azog and necromonke comments below me don't know what they're talking about. Both the berbers and garamantes were indeed predominately "african" in their phenotype. It's tiring ALWAYS seeing pple having an issue and debate about black pple in video games and always tryna act like we weren't here or there in actual history. This mod was needless and makes the phenotypes of the leader and units less accurate than it already was.

I agree im not being racist or anything but it kind of bothers me sometimes that the leader of this kingdom is black and all his troops are like berbers or arabs. Could you fix that and use like himyars leader or something? (and make more of the troops berber/arab)

I think absolutism is already out the door for most cultures. It’s like the Greeks you could say they have an original stock but where do you stop seeking it? Obviously it’s possible, and I think the game shows, that these groups-north and South Africa, Roman Africa-they we’re connected even at remote ends. I think it’s only reasonable to assume they can be ‘african’ and Berber in composition. As I understand the people of Gerama, it being a trading city, governed and the Berber and Tuareg and enslaved or impressed sub saharan peoples served as soldiers, generally.

For real what did berbers used to look like? I heard they were nomadic people once I think...?

I find that the troops are rarely black africans, can you make them more darker?

If I remember correctly, most units in this factions were generic from other similar factions. Which means I can't do anything about that :(

So did you figure out how to add the shield to the units :P and btw why dont you equip the Lancers of the Oasis with the eastern noble coat (similar to the one worn by the Sassanian faction leader), you can check out how they look in my art work
