If the metal objects for you are super bright/reflective, download "Improved Default Cubemap" from the workshop. It's worked for me.

ok so i found a way to fix the glitch i had. to fix it open console commands and type "mat_specular 0" this SHOULD fix the glitch.

so i have black mesa mounted and all of the stuff you need to download but when i load this map most metal objects are really reflective and super silver. this happens to nearly everything, even my character. i am i just doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the map? (note: normal black mesa maps work fine)

Is it just me or is lighting bad, idk if i have another mod that interfers with this map or if its just the map itself, have any ideas send em here.

Wow, I am amazed. I downloaded everything, although some buttons were missing but still operable, everything else loaded, I was confused on how to start it until I looked at the Instructions, turned it on, and it is amazing. Great job mate, I give you a 9.5 out of 10.

Hello. I would like to say that the map is very nice when it comes to rooms and functionality. I think that it would be nice tho if you put some kind of instructions to activate the portal inside the map itself. I belive that it can be some Black Mesa staff maintenance document or something.

keep in mind that gmod was created on the source engine, this engine was created in the 2000's and even if gmod tries to update the engine for the game it still doesn't let you get tons of models or mods. Just like on Half-Life 2 gamebanana mods, you can't get too much or else your game crashes.

check if you have addons that enhance your visual effect on gmod to make it look like a 2019 game (Lens, flare, Cinematic Mod etc...) these make you lag for sure

The issue is that I don't lag in Black Mesa and never did (although I don't quite get 60 FPS in BM, it still runs reasonably butter-smooth, circa 40-50 FPS), whereas in Garry's Mod I'm lucky to get more than 10 FPS, and frequently get around 4-7 on average. Maybe Gmod just really hates my computer?

I have my autoexec.cfg file configured to enable multicore rendering, and I have sufficient RAM and a decent CPU, and like I said, Black Mesa runs perfectly fine and hardly ever dips below 40 FPS for me, but I rarely get good performance out of Gmod. It's a problem I have that isn't exclusive to this map; I get horrible performance in dozens of other maps. It's easier to list maps that don't lag for me (gm_goldencity being one of the very few that lets me get 22 FPS).

the optimization is good, i get 150FPS in the teleporter, should be your computer keep in mind that black mesa models are in HD 4K textures and uses complex stuff that you wouldn't see on HL2.

Mh strange, in the lobby i have 200 fps, at the teleporter 80-130 fps

Map needs better optimization, stat. It gets an average framerate of 4-7 FPS, and that's during the less laggy parts.

you need a recent computer that supports HD models on a 2004 engine

I found out how to start the reactor, just go into that room do the decontamiaton walk in then press the control panel to close go into the control room and spam literally every button execpt the emergency shutdown one

its hard to read the fourth image to start the teleporter infact I Cant even read it

this map is great i love it, but it takes a while for the lamba reactor to start up, can you make it quicker?

add instructions because the xen teleporter I get keypad denied sounds and nothing visible happens so do something

i followed you tube intrusions but it did not work. also for some reason i have a steam folder within a double of my steam folder with that has all my games. can someone help me with the first issue?... is the second one even an issue?

Why Teleporter control room changed? Fck updates!

The buttons just sounds like a denied keypad acess... How to solve this? I mean at teleport.

And @ZIN I really like the map but.. Will you be updating it? For example with the alarm button also triggering an alarm node? And sealing off all doors until the button is pressed again? And, I haven't succeeded in actually being teleported, did you include a teleport feature in the teleporter or is it just showstuff?

@Szalony_Pawel Thanks for being toxic but as a matter of fact I had the game and all, even had a fuss with mount.cfg and all but didn't work. Then someone not toxic showed me a link to missing props addons and now there's not a single missing texture in my game. Thanks dood, for being toxic.

I downloaded the BM:S Content addon, still doesn't give me a single prop without purple/black textures. Though everyone else is doing fine down in the comments, am I missing something?

Also, can I mount the official BMS game? I saw the comments, and there was a guy complaining he had different models, and had the official BMS game. Can you please fix this? I'd really like to use the official BMS game.
