Hi Feint, awesome work. Works as expected in vehicles. However, one question- it's also working on foot (i.e., when I don't want it to). Any ideas on how to disable head tracking while not in a vehicle?

For those who can't "get it to work", you need to have the TrackIR system or something similar to have this mod function.

this one simple idea has brought quite a few amazing moments to the game play of ARMA3 users. way over 25,000 gamers have used it but over 14k gamers use it every time they play and record. this helped over the years by branching into millions seeing it in use in all kinds of different styles of arma vids. many who don't even own the game. seen it for myself.

Is it good to bundle your mod 100% un-edited, in my units modpack? just to decrease the preset size?

Sorry if i'm not reading something but i'd like to ask if this is clientside? I run a dedicated server, but only two of my players have trackir so i'd not like to force it on everyone if necessary. Otherwise, much appreciated, trackir doesn't get the love it deserves.

Well, like I've said in at least a dozen of other comments before, this mod only expands the boundaries of what BI set up for Arma 3 inside vehicles. However you take advantage of that is up to you. :)

The reason i wanted to know was because you can lean in the cockpit of a jet with this mod and i don't use a TrackIR so i wanted to know if i can lean without TrackIR.

It was made for TrackIR and other head tracking hardware. So I don't really know why you would use it without something like that.

Well, that's the limit of the Tobii system. It isn't meant for looking over your shoulder. Try the vanilla AH-9. That had the biggest change in terms of head movement limitations (translations especially). Also, some other mods that add a lot of vehicles have already implemented their own versions of this mod. So it gets complicated if you're running ACE and a bunch of other things.

@Feint thanks for the quick reply! I turned on my TrackIR, and with this mod and both of those utilities, I dont notice a difference. My TrackIR seems to be able to look all the way to my left and right with or without this mod, and my Tobii seems to not be able to see very far at all in any direction with or without it. Makes me think of that song... With or Without You... now i gotta go play it. LOL!

@Dr_Mikaeru this should work with any tracking software. Basically the way it works is BI set limits to head movements. I've simply expanded those limits to give you the ability to move your head whereever you want. So if your Tobii works with Vanilla Arma, then it will work with this mod.

Apologies I messed up my explanation, the camera tends move forwards not back, still limiting FOV though. Was noticed mainly in ground vehicles both vanilla and modded but I've only got pictures of it happening in an RHS Abrams

Thank you for your work on this mod, absolutely love it as a headtracker user. However, some of my non-headtracking players pointed out a concern: players without actual headtracking have their camera lag behind as if a headtracking player moves their head back limiting FOV when moving in vehicles. We've temporarily disabled it for now but just wanted to know if this was intended or fixable as we'd love to keep using this mod in the future. Thanks in advanced!

I just checked a helicopter and a VTOL and both were working perfectly for me. If it's not working for any of your vehicles, then there's probably a conflict with one of the other mods you're running. Best way to fix that is to deactivate all mods, load in Head Range Plus and then start loading the mods you normally like to run one at a time to see which one is causing the conflict. Hope that helps.

I'll take a look and see if anything isn't working. I haven't updated this mod in a while to include all of the newest vehicles that may not be based on the above config bases. Which vehicles are you having a problem with?

me too, I think the last update of arma 3 broke the mod.

i can't get it to work or im missing something, also do i need every dlc listed for it to work because i only have apex and jets
