@IGdood Yard's AK-12 is a good mod and works perfectly fine. I believe he's stopped working on his XCOM 2 mods--so things such as Long War's damage roulette won't apply to it--, but someone else picked them up and now updates them I believe. My only concern about his AK-12 mod is the visual look of the gun. Parts of the gun such as the grip, stock, etc seem out of place due to the base part being enlarged.

As for mine it's a custom made AK-12--looks like an AK-12, but isn't exactly an AK-12. Texturing is ok. The magnetic version is ehh. But it's a decent mod in my opinion.

If you're concerned about damage, aim, etc values then there's no need to worry. Both Yards mods and mine have the same damage values as vanilla weapons.

@Sturm Krahe If you're talking about the Magnetic AK-12A then yes that's intentional. When you research magnetic weapons and buy the upgrade the conventional AK becomes a magnetic AK.

I understand that you prefer the conventional to the magnetic and I did say that there may be a way to implement an option where players can switch out the models to the conventional rifle, if they prefer the conventional over the magnetic design, however the changes that would have to made are quite complex after looking at it. I'll think about another to pull it off, but I can't promise anything.

So I'm wondering, is the gauss rifle looking version an intentional effect or some kind of texture error? I really like this weapon but as soon as I upgraded my rifles all the AKs looked and fired like magnetic rifles and I had to unequip them because I like conventional firearms more than the sci-fi guns in the game.

I really like this mod but I dislike how the weapon model changes when you upgrade the tech level, can you make a version where this doesn't change, or post info on how to change this for ourselves? I'd prefer the original model without it looking like a railgun-skinned AK, otherwise this is a fantastic weapon and much better than the other AK mod out there.

honestly, it's better if these visuals REPLACE the base weapon model. That way the mods carry over to the next tier up versus being lost forever

The only problem I'm having is that my troops hands on the barrel are completely open instead of grabbing the gun, looks really awkward.

Negativ look the reflection is only on the front side. it doesn´t have reflective surface on the rear side when you spin it around.

I also checked for cross mod compatibility. with other mods including the other bigger AK12 mod. and it doesn´t seem to have any issue.

Look it isn´t that your weapon is flawed it is very high quality. just that reflective part did wierd things.

My Comp spec is i7 4720 HQ 8 core 2.60-3.60 superthread.
Grafix card is a 960M 4GB GDDR5
Memory is 16GB.
So it isn´t top end but very near top end of what is available now.

I also tried to downboost other mods to check maybe too many mods running could be the issue. but sadly I eliminated it till your mod.
Now I even increased the number of mods and it caused less issues.

I can fix the reflection on the magazine since it does seem a bit too reflective. However I don't think the weapon textures are causing the issue since they're just 512x512 TGAs. There might be another problem causing it such as your computer specs, yet I'll take this issue into consideration nonetheless.

So your weapon is really high quality graphics. so it isn´t that the weapon is flawed. it is simply messing up the quality setting so much once loaded into. the weapon works fine if not used in the armoury but once the weapon is loaded into the armoury. it totally messed up.

So you can say get a beter comp :) and it solves it. but sadly am not the top end.
But definetly near it at this current moment. so if you can adjust the shining part of the basic magazine I think it should load normal.

Only way was to remove the game delete it. I tried different things. to solve it.
But just it caused so much lag suddenly :( so I boiled down to elimination of mod compatability.

And I only guess I can give is that the magazine is shining reflective at the front end . that is causing it, the basic magazine. thus forcing everything else to go into MSAA2x graphics.

I don´t know Negativ :( just only way solve that lag was deleting the savegame.

The basic magazine it is being reflective way too much. when I load in.
So it is like silver shining on the front side.

The rest of the weapon is fine, I don´t know what it is causing the lag. really not.
It is like it going into higher quality graphics :( then totally force all settings to go to higher quality

Can you go into depth about the Magazine not being colored correctly? Is it the basic magazine, drum magazine, or taped magazine?

You definetly have a problem :( sorry to say it but the magazine is definetly not colored right.

and once the AK12 A loads in it causing sever lag . so you definetly need to do a rebuild

My mod doesn't edit any files related to the avenger so no clue how you're getting this issue. Maybe check your GPU to see if it's fried? Have you removed any mods that may edit the Avenger files?

Uh...Major problem here...So I used the workshop to add the ak-12, but the model is completely black. I first thought it was due to weapon color/camo but it wasn't. I closed the game and restarted and...the whole avenger(ship) is black just like the ak12...This black thing doesnt go away even if I restart.

I think the file numbers are randomly generate when subscribing to a mod. Just look at which one was the most recently modified.
