Hi, thanks for this amazing mod. If I added factions like MOCX, will they be affected by this change?

@khumak Reapers templars and skirmishers are changed by the WotC mod linked in the description.

From what I can tell this mod works great for regular soldiers but does not affect the heroes. So Reapers, Templars, and Skirmishers will still be a random gender but your regular soldiers will match whatever you configure in this mod.

Doesn't seem to work. I'm using these 2 mods, more nations and names mod and commanders choice. Not sure if in conflict with one of them.

Would have been nice to set the ratio for staff and soldiers separately, but I'll take it.

I just completed a WOTC campaign with 104 mods including this one. It all went well.

@Tsybill, I did what you suggested and it works. I have no idea how it got messed up after I bought War of the Chosen. Thank you btw for the help. :)

You can try deleting your "My Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config" directory. Sometimes XCom doesn't clean up files correctly so some old configs hang around conflicting your settings. Note that this basically clears all your configs, so be sure to back them up in case it doesnt work.

I tried Rookie Cust Options mod, and set it to 1, and I still get men.

Rookie Customization Options by BlueRaja still seems to be working and allows for genders to be manipulated for anyone who wants this functionality.

Yeah, I've been getting the wrong genders as well. Seems this mod may not work any longer.

For some reason, i have been getting men when I have set everytthing to 100% to women.

Works fine for me with WotC in a new game.

The only thing that doesn't work for me, is when I get faction soldiers for the first time. That seems to be the normal 50/50%, even though I had changed the number in the ini to 0. Which means I should be getting only females.

Everything else works though. Thanks for the mod.

When I use the mod with WotC, I get almost exclusively male soldiers no matter what percentage I put in the config. I have no idea why.

Even with a setting of 70/30 (male/female) whenever i active this mod i seem to get mostly females. I don't understand it. 7 tries in a row all 4 soldiers in first mission female. Disable the mod, i get some males. Re-enable the mod all female. Disable the mod, some males.

It don't make sense.

Mod used to work but now doesn't. It's probably some conflict with someother mods I have installed since, but I can't work out what it is. Any thoughts on what kind of mods might effect it?

It's working for me. I just followed the instructions and no I have 90% male soldiers.

And there was no files under the content folder?

What am I doing wrong?

So I finally got around to downloading the mod tools. The mod is compatible with WotC for normal soldiers.

I'm not entirely sure if the additional faction soldiers are affected by this mod yet.

Surprisingly, it looks like it does work. Will need to play further into the game to make sure but at least the start of the game looks good. I probably wont be able to test this properly for the next week or so due to work and stuff. I also need to redownload the mod tools which are 100gb+ so it might take a while before I can be sure there are no conflicts with the code base.

If anyone spots any issues it would be greatly appreciated if you can report them in the comments. Thanks!

That's expected. Characters in the pool have their genders set to whatever they were created as.

Hi, Thanks. Yes that made it work again. But I also noticed that I doesn't work if I use the character pool. It only works with random generated characters for some reason.

I assume you recently purchased a dlc and the game updated? You might have to delete "\My Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config" folder. Other than that I would suggest rechecking the mod is correctly set up.
