Coming back for a reply of this mod after a couple of years, where are the spirit mirror pendants?

I finished the new version (4.2.2) of Magiic of Grimrock. There are a lot of new features compared to the previous version (2.2.4) – spell management (spell matrices), enchantments. There are fewer spells but more secrets and epic items to discover. Even if they are similar, there are enough differences to play again. On the other hand, I have more epic items than expected 121/117. So it's possible that there are more 150/150 secrets and 12-12 treasures than expected. For francophones, there is a French version. J’ai terminé la nouvelle version (4.2.2) de Magiic of Grimrock. Il y a beaucoup de nouveautés par rapport à la version précédente (2.2.4) – gestion de sorts (matrices de sort), enchantements. Il y a moins de sorts mais plus de secrets et d’objets épiques à découvrir. Même en étant semblables, il y a assez de différences pour y rejouer. Par contre j’ai plus d’objets épiques que prévu 121/117. Il est donc possible qu’il y ai plus de secrets 150/150 et de trésors 12-12 que prévu. Pour les francophones, il y a une version en français.

Pour ceux qui joue avec la version française : la traduction rend impossible la découverte d'un coffre au cimetière. Je vous donne les indices en français avec les correspondance anglaise.

- Ronar Devinette. Les bois sacrés d'Arn Awen ont fait une autre victime. Les énigmes restantes conçues par lui ont été perdues dans la bibliothèque incendiée d'Ormond.
Ronar Riddle. Hallowed woods of Arn Awen claimed another victim. Remaining puzzles designed by him were lost in the burned library of Ormund.

I'm not very far into the mod, but the game freezes and crashes when a character eats food. (I have the 4G patch installed, and all graphics are set to LOW.) Any advice?

Hey so I just started playing your mod and I had some questions I wanted to ask. First off I haven’t played through the entirety of the bass version of the game but wanted to play your mod primarily because it date a lot of stuff that I find to be more interesting/intuitive than the base game. But I wanted to at least ask about two things.

First how exactly does the non-mage classes actually cast spells? Would I need to get a magical piece of equipment for them later on in the game to actually be able to let them cast spells as well?

And secondly when I got the scrolls it said I could destroy them to turn them into gems with mouse select button. I don’t entirely know what you meant about that or how exactly that works in the first place so could you explain what I’m actually supposed to press and what that does?

is there anyway to turn off the quickbar flashing red every time i enter combat its useful to know when i'm in danger but it's also driving me crazy seeing it

nm on the pyramid, I'm dumb, drop from above.

There's a metal door in the pyramid, 1st floor, near the Tomb of the Guardians. No suggestion how to open it.

In the Ruins of Desarune, there's a wall with III twice and another place with II once, I can't figure out what i need to cast. The icons on the floor suggest ice and lighting for the III and ice for the II

The teleportation scroll is south of the map, just before the stairs up to the Air Shrine.

Did anyone else's graphics get super dark with this mod? Like, much darker than the original game. I can barely see anything underground even with a torch and black rogue armor is practically invisible

almost every time i try to save the game crashes, so i wanted to ask if anyone has the same problem or if it is just me?

i am confused with the runes on the floor and the teleporters over them, tried casting that runes spell but nothing happen can someone help. I also tried to place a trap of that rune using a gem also no luck

Seems crazy but I still can't find a minor scroll : the light spell... Any clue on where to find it ?

Hey Chuck. I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, possibly not, but I think those two puzzles require an arcane-based spell, one to be infused with Light, the other with Dark?

Arcane Bolt or something of that nature.

Does anyone have a list of secrets per level? I am still missing 2 (148/150).

and now I've found "Dark Arcanic Key". I assume the two puzzles are linked, but I can't figure it out.

how do you solve the room in the crypt that says "Light Arcanic Key"? There is a receptacle, so I assume its a bolt spell of some kind, but I can't figure it out. There was a frostfire elemental in the room, so I thought using water shield+frost bolt was the key, but I've tried pretty much every projectile I have and nothing.

lmao i found a cheese for the "this one resists all but thrown stones, cast conjure ice, and then push it once, then cast transfer into the ice, and break it, then just mele the slime and kill it

what new features are in 4.1/4.2

Peter. Those big lightning orbs are indicators of special challenges in the area that usually require a certain spell or combination of spells to either access or succeed through, such as an enemy that is vulnerable to a damage type or a puzzle that needs a spell to unlock.

Also note that some of the new features of 4.1 will not appear if you play on a 4.0 save file.

The mod supports updates from 4.x to 4.y. That said I'd suggest saving on a new file once you have loaded your old save, just in case something goes wrong!

can you update the mod on a save or do you need to create a game, im currently in 4.0

Yo minor problem from me, when I try to stack items using the quick side inventory option the game just crashes, if I add items directly to the characters using the normal inventory no problem, but using the cusom quick inventory causes a crash.

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer, Karunama, but the numbers relate to the level of magic needed for the spell the door wants you to cast.

Does anyone know the solution for the 'III' door? I assumed I needed to cast three spells each of the indicated elements, or perhaps a spell with 3 icons that included that element, but no dice.

Only solution against silence : have the Nature Grace spell going on before you got silenced.
Enchantments directly use enchantments gems yes, it's not a spell anymore.
The main story remains the same as vanilla.
For the "inner sun is the key" use pyrometabolism.
The Island master got some new spells too with the mod depending on difficulty setting, like a strong Arcane Nova and a special "HP goes to 1" :)

For the fire helmet, I believe it was using the Fire Enchantment spell on a torch and it makes it an Everlasting Torch. Placing it in the bracket on the wall opens the gate.

how do you get past the "the eternal flame enchanted, torch is key" puzzle for the fire helmet
