This mod still requires armour fix.

Small compatibility issue with overwatch all. When overwatch all is used it uses pistol overwatch instead of the normal overwatch an annoyence I hope to see fixed.

@Onimusha, that is exactly what happened yesterday. The game auto updated. I completed a mission with an Infiltrator and a Vanguard both leveling/ranking up and both bugged. I have every current class mod on Workshop and there are two other team members from other mods that ranked but did not bug with the update. Also it has something to due with files being over written because the Class emblem vanishes and is replaced with None and below it it says, missing template for ability 'None'.

Promoting rookies isn't the issue. The issue is that when you already have a soldier and the game updates, they bug out.

Just an update: I started a fresh campaign for another reason, and I ended up getting a working soldier promote this time. Perhaps it works now?

Okay. I guess I will have to dismiss them and then re add them to the pool. Do you think you'll be able to stop this happening again though? It didn't happen with my other classes so there has to be a way

It only seems to have this problem if you have an existing soldier. If you rank up a rookie to soldier or train one in the GTS it will work fine for them

Ok I started a mission and he has no skills again

I just loaded a saved game and my soldiers no longer have any skills FYI

I just loaded a save from during a mission and my soldiers still had their skills, so maybe it's just no ui and no promoting for now

Are you still looking at fixing this? I don't have save from before I started using it :(

I'll try and re-spec him as a different working class w/ the GTS tomorrow after I wake up, pretty sure that'll "save" him.

For the bugged soldier? There's no skills; he's listed as a Squaddie, but the class icon is an off-set blue square instead, and there's no skills or icons along the left and right trees. Promoting is the usual promote message just with missing text where a class should be, etc.

It does let me constantly promote him though, so if it does work later on, maybe he'll become max rank instantly :P

I know when I was testing it there were some issues with the class not promoting if it didn't find the actual skills are there any duplicate skills on your characters tree?

edit: just tried. Promoted unit is basically null; moved the saves elsewhere incase, and loaded it up w/out these mods & he's still stuck in a loop of promoting to nothing. Shame :(

Ah so that's the culprit, either this or the Vanguard class mod.
Is removing the mod going to screw up the promote?

Damn It could be when it got updated that it broke previous versions of the mod does it work with new games?

Tried reinstalling. Still not working

All classes should be working now, If you have any issues try re-installing the mod. Thanks for pointing out the issue

Seems to have broken for me after the update. When I promote I can't see the logo or any of the perks or descriptions?

A more distinct icon would be great :)
