I'm sure seems like a huge pain but it's absolutely worth it getting it set up. There's a reason why more games, including Arma Reforger, are attempting to emulate its features. The only other thing I can add to this is that unless you already have everything set up and ready to go I can't think of a reason for you to not go with the newer TFAR Beta version as that one is still being actively developed and this one is not.

Yea, every one wanting to take advantage of TFAR would need to download this mod, install Teamspeak, and also set up their Teamspeak to work with the game. There's tons of guides all over including on YouTube that can walk you through it. One thing that's changed lately though is that the plugin needed for Teamspeak is no longer hosted on the website like the readme usually says but actually in the mod's folder within the Arma 3 directory.

Teamspeak is basically a (pretty old) dedicated voice chat program. You'll not only need to install the client software but as well as the server hosting software and run that alongside your dedicated server (not necessarily on the same machine, though).

I've been trying for 3 days to get the teamspeak of this to work. All settings in game are set to transfer me to the TaskForceRadio channel in my teamspeak but won't link or recognize that I'm using ts.

Only way at moment is to re install previous version, or try Dedmen Millers alternative version. 4 of the group who made this version have no interest in it any more. I reinstalled previous version.

I believe the Beta was created by Dedmen Miller & is maintained by him, & not the other four prize winners, If I am correct I stand by my previous post....

Also TFR is no longer compatible with Team Speak 3 latest version & wont work with this original official TFR version,so WHY is it still on Steam Workshop?

The problem with the beta or 1.0 version is that the underwater radio does not work (ctrl + ² ). I already asked but no one answered me on discord. (Google Translate)

Even you rautamiekka can read where deadmen miller says "will likely not be updated " so if they haven't just pocketed the prize money & lost interest. what have they done?
For our server this version has worked perfectly for years, so there has never been a need to change to any letter of the Greek alphabet. version.

The old maxim is "If its not broke don't fix it", & this version of TFR has not been broken until now.
And if they haven't run (lost interest) why not just fix the recent TS3 update for this original none Beta TFR. Not an unreasonable question

I don't even truly follow TFAR, yet even I know better to tell they haven't run. A reasonable person wouldn't be afraid of 'beta', especially when the devs have, many times, said the beta is the only way to go (even in the comments here somewhere earlier), and if you use the mod it's your responsibility to keep an eye on some things.
