Is there a way to make it so the hp bar only shows 10 pips per line and then show more on the next line? Like the ruler monsters show multiple lines of hp bars.

This is a pretty great mod. Very good for when dealing with enemies with more than 10+ hp (Looking at you sectopod)

yeah, under the hood base xcom2 and wotc are completely different games, which is why the conversions are so necessary

Spent the last two days trying to figure out which of my big, game-changing mods was causing a crash on new game. Finally decided to do a proper binary search to root out the problematic one after individually checking the large mods I suspected to be the issue. Imagine my surprise when I learned this tiny mod that counts health was responsible. Imagine how flabbergasted I was when I found out that there are vanilla and WOTC version of a mod that counts health . Imagine my shock that the WOTC version I should have been using to count health also had multiple people saying it lags the hell out of their game. How have you managed to create two mods that count health so problematic that they bring a game that normally runs extremely smoothly, with great graphical fidelity, to its knees? I now appreciate manually counting health, as clearly Firaxis would've gone bankrupt had they strained their game with such a Herculean task as counting health .

This mod is essential for playing the game. Highly recommend.

Trying to use this in vanilla, no mods or wotc, but just doesn't do anything.

Inexplicably causes my game to crash to desktop with no error message when I use this mod and start a new game. Disabling this mod stops the crash, tried multiple times to confirm. I have no idea why that's happening.

If it weren't for this mod, I would have dropped the game after clearing 1 campaign. Devs must've been high as a kite when they made the decision on how to show HP in the game. It was a massive step back compared to EW.

The solution was to delete everything in Xcom's config folder. Neat.

Is the "display shields" counter ini configurable? I don't find it as useful as the health counter.

Yes, deleting the "ModClassOverrides" lines (all of them) worked. I didn't initially do it because there were no conflicting lines there, but seems like that's what was missing.

Try also regenerating your inis by deleting them all in your documents config folder.

Alternative launcher didn't help. It seems like the "Gotcha (Flank preview evolved)" mod also stopped working at the same time. Everything else works just fine, this is so weird.

Try using the alternate mod launcher, it will fix some ini problems for you.

I have a weird problem, and that is, the mod just suddenly stopped working for me. I followed the general troubleshooting rules, there are no conflicting mods and I even verified game cache but it didn't help at all. It's worth noting that I've been playing for 50+ hours now with the same set of mods so it shouldn't be a mod compatibility issue. The health numbers just suddenly... stopped showing up. Which is a damn shame because I can't play lategame Long War 2 like this when everything has 15+ health.

I love this mod. It's so clean and simple, with such a big impact. My days of pip-counting are over! I'm curious, do you have plans to show the value for ablative armour points as well? Long War uses them for XCOM soldiers, so it would be pretty useful. Maybe it could just display right next to the current values, but in orange instead of white?

Yeah, following the troubleshooting guide is the first thing you want to try, if you haven't already. Not sure what the problem is in my case but it's not working.

I've revalidated my game files and it seems that 2 were corrupt, after that the mod started working again, problem solved, sorry for the bother, I should have tried that in the first place :)

I have been playing with LW2 for no problems since 1.0 through 1.1, follow instructions in the troubleshoot guide.

It seems it may not be compatible with LW2. It worked fine for me until I installed LW 2 a few days ago.

Huh the health values don't even show up with only this mod enabled by itself, weird.

I've tried disabling every mod except for LW2 (and this one obv) and no luck, health values still dont show up even in a fresh game.

it is working with no problems for me, you might have another mod that is causing conflict
