This was always one of my favorites.

Love this ship. To correct the last comment, it is completely capable of exiting a planet's atmosphere now (as long as it's not filled to the brim).

10/10, also easy to convert to hydrogen to be a starting ship.

this design is fully space worthy, sadly it is no longer capable of exiting a planets admosphere in vanilla SE. (You'll need a 600M\s speed mod.)

Design of this craft is really outdated, please use successors -> Nyx, Calypso, Spectre, etc.

@Jura7 after about an hour of trying to climb up and out of earth planet's gravity. without cargo, I'm sad to Conclude at this design no longer works. the weight pulling the craft down now seems to take president over the thrust applied meaning that your vector will drop regardless of trying to keep the speed up as gravity can override the 100MS speedlimit. only way I see this ship working is with a speed mod.

Note: I have successfully used this ship in the past. but that was about a year ago.

found a slight problem. The ship was unable to slow down past 7 km off the surface or so. Kinda crashed. oops. a cool ship, otherwise, though.

you could also make the ramps look more like extra wings to give it a really cool effect :)

took the drake for a drive, and didnt expect to drop out near a drifting space hulk, not even sure if it was npc spawned or not, but it was unarmed, DSF3 Duchessa? had heavy damage to the front and ALOT of scrap plates floating, maybe that update imploded it

got a thought/suggestion for the Hauler here, could maybe add a conveyor block (or more?) + tube then a turret on those 2 sides of the large containers, or would that block access?

So it could have some form of protection if jumped too close to npcs or they come to you, would be able to defend yourself to a extent till you can get away

Was just looking at that one, its for planetary use only ya? If so might build one, having assembler/refinery makes it awesome, been using the diamond back or ore runs, bit damaged tho from space assailants, specially when i forgot to turn the turrets on.

Needing a space station or something out there, as atmos always tries to crash me

Actually, I don't know what devs will break in next updates so sadly my ships are not perfect.
You are free to modify as you wish, as long as you feel it comfortable for you.

Was browsing through the workshop when i found this, and its damn awesome

but sadly with most if not all ships that have atmospheric thrusters.. they tend to develop habits to start moving on their own, sliding sideways or forwards, or tilting to the point it destroys itself or flips over.
Could only stop it by adding Landing Gears or shutting all thrusters off just so i can come back to see a intact ship and not a wreckage
not sure if this is a recent SE issue or Atmos thrusters/SE just hates me

Ship works excellently, and seems like it wouldn't be too hard to modify. I did some damage testing and it's surprisingly resilient to missile launchers and gatling turrets.

Does this not look somewhat like the gunships from HL2? At least in the title pic...

Not very practical for industrial transport, no connectors or mergers or removeable cargo containers, the design is minimalist and thats cool, It DOES need more/better thrust system though, Id say this would make a fantastic respawn ship, or a replacement for the lander.
