Ohhhhhh. This was made forpvkii_dragonwarfare or how that map was called. There were 2 maps where you could ride dragons and burn players or clash with other dragons ^_^ Nice map Trilobite!

There are no further plans for this. It was designed with a saddle because the map it was made for featured dragon riding. The texture has shadows baked in and there are no armour ridges on the back under the saddle, so it can't be removed without a redesign.
And yes, this is a wyvern. Wyverns are more anatomically logical. I for one am glad we're seeing more realistic dragons in popular culture more recently. This one isn't very realistic though. I had to trim down the wings a lot for gameplay reasons.

Any plans to add a bodygroup involving the saddle? As much as aesthetically wonderful it looks, it sorta clashes with the dragon's fierce appeareance.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but am I not the only one who thinks that recent images of dragons, including this one, are more similar to wyverns? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyvern So far, I have seen this design on the 2013 incarnation of Smaug, and the dragons of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones.

Thanks! I will probably not update this though. It's an old model that I still had lying around. so instead of gathering dust, I thought sharing it would be better.

A great little model that is easy to pose, yet still keeps really good detail. It's also a great start to anyone just starting the Gmod picture making hobby. I really hope this gets expanded on a little more, or maybe even new dragons are added. I would love if the red and blue skin versions had a non-injuried version as well. However, I can certainly see myself using this model from time to time, that's for sure!
