I understand the reasoning behind changing into chara and not being able to heal, could there be an option to have lower health as frisk and higher health as chara to be similar to the game?

chara should gain life steal it works perfectly for how she is she likes killing she cant heal from medical items but only bloodlust

There is almost no point in wanting to change to Chara if you can't heal. I feel as though it would be a lot more interesting if Chara had an inverse to make hostile monsters neutral or passive towards her given her backstory. The health threshold is ridiculously low even with the damage resistance.

i think -25hp switching back to frisk shall be a good balance for 80% native damage reduction in chara form. and it tells players careful to plan your health if possible, if we cant unfortunately, at least we can still kill the enemy keeping in chara with little health before calmly facing to our death

Oh I see, in modmaim.lua "inst.components.health:DoDelta(-25)" is done AFTER the transform is done to either character, but since Chara has 0.85 damage absorption, it's only 3.75 damage, and then 22.5 when changing back to Frisk. I doubt the author will come back to this mod, so if you want to fix this yourself, open up that lua file with notepad and move that line up to where Chara's values are set. if you put it above the line where his absorption is set, it'll do 22.5 damage, then transform to chara

This page says -Transforming into CHARA will lose you 25 health-, but it actually happens -when transforming into FRISK-
Since chara has no way of healing, being under 26hp as chara means can't ever transform back wihtout dying

Ok guys, I've found out why can this mod not work. There is a mod named API Gem core, which is used with most other mods that add a lot to the game (usually not an another character). So don't use it with with those mods or be patient until the fix

Hell... It doesn't work again. I guess after the update/collab you can't transform into Chara anymore.

I love this! Definitely makes the game a lot easier compared to the default characters (the only thing it doesn't provide is winter insulation lol) but I love the art, the items and how it makes solo play a lot easier (playing with a Webber could also work since Frisk doesn't naturally aggro spiders, but Chara does so it's a 50/50)

Hi! I really like the mod, I do. I find it unfair that once you transform into Chara, you lose 25 hp, and have no chance at ALL to regain it. I feel like it'd be better if either healing items were to be less effective as Chara, or that instead of the health takeaway, once you revert to Frisk once again, you got a sanity penalty for letting the more murderous side out. I also have a quick suggestion. When you kill things as Frisk, maybe in the future, levels could become a thing. Meaning the further you progress, you get more health.

can u make it so that chara is fine with monsters and animals (like a normal charecter) just because u may think he is evil but infact he is not (he just acts it in genocide cause frisk)

i look the mod it's a good mod overall it's just the only issue i seem to have with them is the transformation button is bugged, when i click it it does the whole animation thing but Frisk doesn't become Chara and the same thing apply when your chara

Hi i like this mod a lot, but the only problem i have with this mod, is for some reason, my camera always zoom in so close to frisk, i can't see really anything and it kinda a pain. (i don't know if it my setting but it doesn't happen to anyone else i play has)
