Working great overall, but screeching each time after she says "reloading"

Quite a sloppy job. Some of the lines stay the same and her iconic screams not even replaced lamo.

Seems to mute tank music when activated.

Screeching and robotic noises are mostly solved by using GCFscape and rebuilding audio cache btw

unpack the sound file then manual replace rochelle's voice in l4d2 flder

it only has death rattles not death screams i wish if there were death screams on this addon

... when i unsubscribe to it the files are still making her talk like zoey

I can say for sure that the screeching is entirely dependent on the length of the audio file compared to the original. I have no idea why valve choose make the audio play off the length instead of just making play off the audio file directly. It makes modding sound for the game really difficult. As it means I would have to cut down audio or add empty audio to fit each of the ~2000 lines of dialogue. Its a huge pain. If the modded audio is to short it will fill the rest with junk audio (screech) if its to long it will play the end of the audio really fast (helium voice)

Unfortunately I've stopped modding L4D2 awhile ago, Due to Valve not doing much with L4D2 and personal reason like loosing all my work awhile back.

the alternative would be what those anime voice replacers do. They physcially replace the audio in the game directory. I personally found this to be messy and annoying to undo/redo (why not just tick a box?) but than you have deal with the headache mentioned above.

Actually... upon further testing, the Audio issues happen when the game thinks its Rochelle's normal voice trying to speak, as evidenced by the Subtitles displaying "Rochelle" but when the game thinks its Zoey saying the lines nothing happens, her lines come out naturally with no unnatural sound issues, even if she can be pretty quiet in the L4D2 maps.

As far as the Audio Skipping is concerned, it seems to happen at random, but for the Audio Screeching, it also seems to happen whenever it feels like it, but it tends to happen whenever a line that Rochelle would normally say is longer than what Zoey says in its place, so the screeching kind of acts like a "Filler" to patch in the rest of the line.

Could you do a Rochelle for Zoey voice?

the screeching is unfixable guys. to fix it, do what i do. unpack the vpk and replace all rochelle's files with the zoey files. and then when you start l4d2. use the console command "rebuild_audiocache" without the "" make sure you back up rochelle's files

I do not like anything, the voice is in English and it does not look very good to me.

fix the audio screeching. it happens every single sentence. she cannot say a full sentence without the screeching or skipping,

awesome gamer, keep in mind that if this happens again, just leave the game. Steam will automatically sync L4D2 and fix any of thtse issues. Trust me on this one, I've fried L4D2 several times and had it repaired by Steam.

odd it should, as it replaces the files in vpk form. Although not as well as offline. It works for me, can anyone confirm this?

omg i try too delet it is is still on help me. i tried too delet ellis voice to be zoey choachs vocie too be zoeys voice and i deleted all but it is still on help pls it is so stupid how it is pls pls pls!!! find a way to help me

when i try too turn it off it is still on for rochelle. you need to fix this
