Yes I mean the texture size in pixels. You would at least 8gb VRAM.
40,000^2 = 1600000000 pixels
Assuming it would be RGBA...
1600000000 * 4 = 6400000000 bytes
Conversion to killobytes.
6400000000 / 1024 = 6250000kb
Conversion to megabytes.
6250000 / 1024 = 6103mb
conversion to gigabytes.
6103 / 1024 = 6gb
That would of been about 6gb cached on your vram if it was 40k res. texture.
