Also saw the new item/weapon. Didn't try it but noticed a couple things.
The Saber Lions in my world spawned by some frog ponds, so they exterminated frogs regularly. Frog hits would make SL's drop a couple SL Meats, while they still had one in hand. Could be a stupid OP source of rot, if they turned into rot (which I also noticed they didn't).
They're not extremely responsive (yet?). I took some wood-chopping and mining, and they only target what you target unlike pigs, which would spread out a bit and chop other trees up to a quarter screen away or so on a normal view. Still kind of uber-pigmen in some ways.
I noticed that they don't aggro on each other, nor do they kite. I won't make any suggestions or further comments there as i don't know what your goal is here.
Some input I will throw out regarding potential future hunting behavior regarding Beefalo is that it will be difficult to balance since you don't want them wiping the Beefalo out in an area. This sort of overhunting does happen IRL with predators, quite a bit. One thought is to copy code from Catcoons, and set SL's to also hunt rabbits and birds in the area. I don't know how difficult this will be, but I assume very.
I'll probably replace the spears with sabermeat from my original saberlion mod that will decay and dissapear after a few days.
Losing all sanity when planting the seeds was actually a complete accident. I'll tweak it so you lose considerably less. A lot less!
Saberlions don't really hunt beefalos(yet) and yes they do not get hungry, this was indeed intentional. I prevented you from doing normal attacks agaisnt saberlions to prevent accidental attacks agaisnt them, as they are extremely aggressive once aggroed.
This is new to me but i'll try to have most bugs patched by tomarrow or the next day after. Cheers!
Beyond that, I tried planting said seed near Beefalo. I assume the SL's don't actually hunt or have hunger values. The also aren't targetable other than with force attack + clicking.
