I would like to join second war, not primary war. How to do that?

you werent kidding on the inability to join vassal wars. kingdom ended up my vassal after a series of strange events and before it was my vassal they were fighting a revolt. now that their my vassal i cant join the war to crush the revolt.

my mod's pretty simple so it's gotta be blocking joining from the cb. You can try adding
can_ask_to_join_war = yes to the holy war cb and see if it allows you to join.

well, haven't had the occasion to test it on other wars. But holy wars are some of the most common and interesting wars out there, and i would be really sad if the opttion didn't work on them

i was a one province count in sardinia, the rest was controlled by a muslim ruler. Then, the republic of amalfi decided to attack them in a holy war for sardinia, and i wanted to join them.

some wars are programmed by the game to be unjoinable, as exampled in the description the vassals war. what kind of war is it?

i click "join a war" and a opinion modifier gets applied, but i don't accually join the war. Its not a vassal war or anything funky like that, and i don't understand why its not working

I click 'join a war', my vassal gets an opinion modifier but it does not actually make me participate in the war. Any ideas?

@tomknudsen37 IDK, nothing else to go on. You say it's working, I listed all the conditions for the diplomacy to show, so it has to be missing atleast one of those.

Asturias is the primary and the attacker.

I'm independent king of custom Normandy I'm not in prison or at war with anyone.

Besides I can still join other wars like the one all the way in India.

are they the primary in the war, either attacker or defender? are you or they a criminal of the other? Your realm at war with them? Are you a prisoner?

if the option appears but doesn't add you to the war then it's a war coded to not allow you to like a vassal's war.

should pop up on anyone at war but only actually join wars that are coded with that ability, idk what all cbs are coded to prevent allies save for vassal's wars.

Can't you somehow make it possible to join vassal wars? What I really need to do is help my most favored vassals by suppressing their rebellions.

Diplo range is only a yes or no condition as far as I'm aware, you can't multiply it like that. But if you really want a coded limit to the wars you can join(kind of counter to the point of the mod to begin with), add is_within_diplo_range = FROM to the potential section of the decision.

Mods can have their own custom options in the game setup. Maybe a diplo range - 2x diplo range - WW0 ?

True but it would be more realistic. If you want too you could make it limited to double the normal diplomatic range, but having it be the whole world is a bit much.

This decision needs to be limited by diplomatic range. I should not, as the Jarldom of Iceland, be able to join wars in southeast India. But apart from that it is useful.

I don't remember the version I made this for, but should be compatible from that version onward unless paradox changes what code does(or breaks them) in a patch.

So vassal wars are not possible? I'm playing a reformed pagan and would like to join my vassals, when they are fighting a holy war...

I don't use it, should be rather uniquely coded so should work if you add a dependency to the .mod
