Yeah just do what Garth says; locking the door joint to a separate model makes it animate easier than animating the door joint itself.

Honestly, what I did for this door bone nonsense is link it to an axis that is at the end of the door where it should open (not link the axis to the door, link the DOOR to the AXIS). That way, you just turn the axis and the door will turn where it should. That's how I did it in my latest video.

For anyone wondering what "use the little nipple on the left of the screen widget (the orange one) to move your rotation widget somewhere saner" means...

1) Select door_joint
2) Click on the screen manipulator or press R (it's the circular thing next to the other transform buttons, on the far right)
3) You see that little bump on the side of the orange circle? Yep, that's the nipple. Click that and drag the circle to move it so that the middle intersects the door frame.
4) Success!

I'm not sure about anyone else but all the doors are working for me. I guess make sure you have Tf2 mounted/installed? I wish I could be more help but I don't know why it would work for some and not for others. Either way model is great just wish the joint didn't have to be moved manually.
