the game has been buggy since release, try to run another steam workshop map to see if you can get other custom maps to work, this map contains no custom meshes or textures, it only uses game assets
when I install the game it does the same to me, you just need to try a few times and it will work and run fine including any of the other custom maps in the workshop
You can enable it in Campaign also.
If you go your heroes folder here:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Might & Magic Heroes VII\MMH7Game
in Config You'll get a bunch of .txts
Go to DefaultGame.txt (will open as notepad)
look for this
mFullRndSkills=false
mNumOfferAbilites = 2
mNumOfferSkills = 3
If you turn False to True you will enable skilling in all campaign maps. You can then change those numbers to whatever you want and it will offer you more skills/abilities per level up, should the player want this.
when starting a map, be sure to check random skills in options
there are always 2 versions of any map you create, the cooked finished version, and the editor version, you upload maps from the map editor
