I really do miss the creativity of old planet mods. I really wish these planets still worked right

work in 2020?

Doctor, are you planning to update these to the new system? Or are they dead?

I really like the diversity and unusual aspects of these planets. Most planet packs are "earth like, usual gravity, blah-blah, easy" or "I retextured a stock planet with purple dirt yee-haw" mods.

PLEASE say you will be updating these packs and planets.

@Galaxy1701F You have to manually spawn custome planets using the shift+f10 menu. Also this is outdated and more than likely no longer working which is why it has a "Discontinued" in the title.

@Deathfather The biggest pack I ever managed to upload was 856MB uncompressed.

Most of the mods I have uploaded never exceeded 500 mb. All your planets together are like 5.5 GB uncompressed.

Wow I never knew that, thank you for the fast response doctor. Love the planets. Have damn near all of them with their respective moons spawned about 15000 km apart randomly :)

@Deathfather The reason there is not a maga pack is because steam will not let you upload anything near that size. My most recent planet had to be split into two parts just to upload. Either way you can try if you want. Just give me full credit and add me a contributor if you manage to upload any of it.

I have found that empty worlds dont always spawn trees and other things like that. When I make planets and moons I always use the habitable world start and fly far away from the planet. So try that.

Created a new empty world, used shift F10 to spawn in Thala

I get no trees when spawning a planet into a game.

Can we get a planet with very few mountians? Just mostly reallllly flat?

I take that back I just figured out how to make spiders spawn on planets. However I will not be adding them to any in this pack but will add them to what I am currently working on.

None do - they don't seem to work with custom planets.

Here I have exactly the same problem and I do not know why, I think it can be the size of the atmosphere and the significant gravity. In fact the diameter that gives me in the game is that the kernel in the center of the gas giant (or giant ice) and then I made a very thick atmosphere (about 120 km and the fact you can say how works colors ?).

I have tried to make a gas giant but couldn't get it to work.

Are you planning to make a mod for Interstellar planets (Miller, Mann and Edmunds) and also gas giants (I work on this project) ?

There are no tutorials that I could find. I had to figure it out on my own. Also I'm not planning on making a guide/tutorial or at least not anytime soon.

worked fine for me, where it says "Asteroids" you gotta go to the planets tab

By default these planets don't spawn in automatically. You have to spawn them manully using the Shift+F10 menu.

Can someone explain how i start/make a world with all these planets in? Is it like asteroids where i can just paste them?
