This mod still crashes the game upon attempting to download it to the mods list. Since this has been noted as going on for over 4 years, it is obviously not going to be corrected. Thus, there is no sense in trying to access this mod.

Civ V is running out of the mods now. Chrisy15, CL, JFD, and all other major modders have been gone to Civ VI. Since the Our World group is gone and Uighur_Caesar failed to made the Deng Xiaoping mod, along with Chrisy15 that is idling for too long and failed to made the Ho Chi Minh mod on time.

All of the Cold War civs are incomplete...

anybody know how to stop this from crashing when subscribed?

this mod crashes the game when the game attempts to incorporate it into the modlist. Downloading and unzipping manually doesn't help either (as that generates the civmod file and not the actual mod folder).

@nicovallejos don't worry, I promise both BRD and DDR civilizations are coming very soon, not made by me though.

Only the German Democratic Republic civ still remains, but the Our World group did not develop it on time.

There is still need for the civilizations of the Cold War needed to be developed by ChampiKhan, particularly the Eastern bloc civs including the Polish People's Republic, Czechoslovakia, Hungarian People's Republic, Socialist Republic of Romania, People's Republic of Bulgaria, Vietnam, Laos, and the DPRK... Still waiting for the remaining Cold War civs...

This mod crashes my game all the time, everytime I download it my game crashes, I have all the DLC installed and I may need some more info of where to put the mod, because I put it on the "mods" file and nothing happen, what should I do?

It was a great mod, unfortuately it crashed some times. BTW, for anyone with the mod not showing up simply download 7zip,go to the folder MODS and extract to (civilization) and you're good.

I have all the Dlc but I can't play this mod becuase it doesn't appear, what should I do?

I can't seem to get it to work. Once it loads in (Whether I subscribe from Steam or do a manual install) it crashes to desktop.

@ianandsue5 Yes, I have a plan on Weimar, unfortuntaly, you have to wait a long time until its release, the Weimar Republic is after Maximilian's HRE, and now I don't really start the HRE, I'm making another mod project now, you will see that mod soon.

While I forseen this, don't forget about more; There are more German civilizations that are to be released, as the modders, probably Our World, are already producing the German Democratic Republic civilization. It is led by Erich Honecker. The uniques exclusive to him already confirmed are the Sportsman (Great Merchant) and Stasi (Constabulary). Some of GDR units for the sake of diversity, particularly during the Cold War are: KPz T-72G (modern armor), BMP-2 (mechanized infantry), MFRW BM-21 (rocket artillery), Mi-24A LSK (attack helicopter), and MiG-29 9-13 (jet fighter).

If you are doing alt history, maybe a French Commune? if the Paris Commune succeded I mean? Just an idea ^^

@JP Freikorps existed a long time before the Weimar Republic. They fought in the Napoleonic Wars against the French forces and were regarded as a prime example of German patriotism. This patriotic image greatly influenced the revolutionares in 1848. These Freikorps were completely different from the post WW1 groups, also called Freikorps. This mod obviously uses the 19th century Freikorps.

The Friekorps were organised after WW1 within the Weimar Republic, not in a German Empire as they were a Militarist Political Pressure Group, and no Government existed in a German Empire.

If you were insisting on keeping them, you should make them replace the Great War Infantry because they, as stated, were formed AFTER the war and the used equipment from the German Army when the Treaty of Versailles limited German Army to 100,000 men.

Again if you were keeping them, I would take away their movement bonus and replace it with an ablility against Barbarians (Rebels inparticular) becuase of their effectiveness in ending the Communist Putsch.

And Schlaqchtschertierer are a tratitional group in a gunclub in germany if i remember correct.
This name was never used for swordwielding men in cobat. The right term would be "Schwertkämpfer" like the english "swordsmen".

This alternative History was in fact an idea of mid 1800 and was called "großdeutsche Lösung with the mainkoflikt who shall rule this national state, Vienna/Habsburg or Berlin/Hohenzollern. The end in real we all know as "klein deutsche Lösung" two speperate states. The empires of Austria(formed1804) and Germany(formed1871).

btw "Schlachtschwertierer" is no german word. The better word is "Schlachtschwertkämpfer"

The background map isn't correct. It's a map of the "Heilige Römische Reich Deutscher Nationen" witch was abandon by Napoleon, and where North Italia is included but half of Prussia not.

I can subscribe to this mod, but when I try to select it in the mod's feature in the game, it kicks me completely out of the game.
I have tried deselecting all the mods I normally play, then subscribing, have also tried direct download. All result in same thing, Bounces me out. Any suggections?

@Ivenend_zwei833 Actually, German nationalism came way before the Rennaissance era, the Holy Roman Empire was German and it's people and army was very patriotic, if not nationalistic about their country, I don't see a difference between the Medieval era and the Rennaissance.

@macheng917 That is suppose to be, which represent the German nationalism is start from the Reformation. And if the UA is available from the game start, it would be overpower.

i think his UA needs changing......... before printing press is researched, this civ is just a 'blank' civ without anyting unique
