I downloaded now to play and with safe mode, I started the new game and first robot killed me : ) The mod doesnt work

Maybe im doing something wrong but, im testing a lot of mods today with debug and this mod made all monters non hostile but. This mod and Safe = Normal?, Safe says they cant kill me and 2 monsters killed me. Idk maybe im dumb

no its not the default mode still has way too many bugs
use this with it to kill those bugs ... like for example monsters still attack you and still chase you :steamfacepalm:
with this mode those bugs are gone :steamhappy:

Only got the mod to beat Curie. Still die in the maze. Sucks. Really wanted to see how the game ends but it isn't worth the frustration.

Without mod i tried to get past to omicron inside (after that i opened the door with code who someone stranger or thing gave me a code and "wants me to go". so i had to go to other door and finally i did it so now i see the bodies and i'm now scared so after that i moved the one save to mainwithaddons and i still keep getting crash... Please fix this mod, i know this mod is retired but i don't wanna play all over again which i'm very very close to end...

no bby this mod was a blast while it lasted. and that vid i made of it got over 100k views bc of your time and energy. sad to see the mod go but cheers for helping some players experience the game in a different way <3

Looking into it, seems like there's a fundamental incompatability with information from Wuss Mode save files in that area and the newly updated map, make sure to hold onto a save file from before arriving at Omicron for when the fix is released.

Hey, I'm having the same problem as Danforth. Wuss mode crashed outside Omicron, bypassed it in normal and can't get it working again. Any ideas? Thanks

Hey, love the mod but can't get it to work anymore. I kept experiencing a hard crash during the battery puzzle outside Omicron. I played past it using the unmodded game but now I can't get Wuss Mode to work again. Keep getting this error when I try to continue from the main menu: https://i.imgur.com/39uZsNd.png Any thoughts?

Yes I use the steam version. I looked into the Soma folder and I cant find the executable what leads to the mod menu. I use Win10 so yeah probably its win10 retardedness time again. Thx

@L-900 :epifox: Are you using Steam Workshop, or the Mega link? Also, have you tried running the addon launcher as an administrator?

Mod does not work for me for some reason. I get "Same error here. It says "Could not load AddOn batch file: C:/Users/i5"
While the folder should be i5-7600, I tried to make an i5 folder there with the batch file. did not worked.(also tried to relocate Soma to C:/)

@A.M Team and Gabe!!, To be honest, I'd be happy to see them improve on it, but if they take out the monsters entirely it'll be a huge disservice to their brilliant visual design. My hope is that they make the monsters passive inhabitants in safe mode and restructure some plot stuff around it, and that the audience for this game expands yet again. As for giving me credit, Wuss Mode is just a couple of light modifications to code that Frictional already designed to be flexible; not exactly something I consider myself having ownership over but I'm happy to have improved the experience of those that have used it thus far. :D

I don't know weither to be happy for you or sorry for you now that Frictional patented your mod idea. Hopefully they'll give you credit as to not have this great mod brushed under the rug by the official version. :k8sad:

Wondering if there's an easier way to launch the game with the mod enabled? Right now I have to open Steam, select soma - launch mod, then select play Soma with addons, then check the Wuss mod box, then hit launch. Quite a hassle. Isn't there some "launch command" in Steam that I can use, or make a shortcut on my desktop?

Hi @The Dreamer, thanks for the quick response. I had Wuss mode and was playing it only yesterday then today it has disappeared from my mod list. Thanks for the reminder of how to install it, but how do I re-install it? I tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing but it still doesn't show up when I select Run Soma with Addons. Thanks again.

@colin.hughes00 Just subscribe to the mod, it'll be installed automatically; you can use it by starting the game with the mod launcher, then activating it with the "Run Soma With Addons" option.

This is a steam page but where is the download for the steam mod? The description only contains links for the Gog version!
