@Far_Rockaway I live near the River Line. It's certainly, interesting, to say the least. However, it isn't the only diesel light rail in the US. There is one other that I know of, that being the CapitalMetro Rail in Austin, TX. In Canada, there's also the Trillium Line of the Ottawa O-Train system. I'm not sure if this was modeled off of the stadler gtws in use on the river line and capital metro rail, but it seems to have a slight resemblance to the trains on the river line

this is supposed to be a diesel train if you took the river line train in New Jersey as the reference, which seems to be the only diesel light rail in the US

This is not Tram. Cities skylines hasn't tram system.
It's just the train.
