i would like to ask for a suggestion of another mod, uranium thrusters using the old ion thruster model, and solid fuel thrusters, using the upgrade module system, basically just placing the blocks of fuel behind the custom thruster using a remastered version of the orginial small ion thruster (the ugly untextured one) and it would be a one time use thruster

OH, MY GODNESS! THANKS FOR DAT CRAZY NICE MOD <3

Thank you very much @remethep, for making the first ever review of any mod made by me (or atleast the first one I saw) :D I will add your video to the main page here.

Also, you should see one of my other mods: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=691529112 It is the mod i like the most from all of which i made, and I can't just imagine playing without it lolol
A lot of things on there are not explained sadly, but I have plans for v4.0
remethep 14. mar. 2018 kl. 3:15
Now this is an awesome mod! That gives you a lot of new options on how to play the game. :D
I did a spotlight on it for funsies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLKWydrryOk
Keep up the good work!

If only there was a mod that had a speed-based air vent, so the faster you're going the more air you suck in...
That could allow for some very interesting designs.

(2/2) @PaulyMcCoy Still there? Good.

Look at the Oxygen Maneuvering Thruster and read what it does. He basically gave us a fuel-based handbrake. And that one, in case you weren't paying attention, does work in space.

You should really think before you open your damn mouth.

Oh, almost forgot, I'm supposed to give a snarky emote here. :KOh:
Tanya Sapien 11. nov. 2017 kl. 6:58
(1/2) @PaulyMcCoy maybe try researching before you mock people.

The vanilla atmospheric engine only has 42Kn of thrust, this one has 51Kn. Additionally, the vanilla atmospheric engine sucks a lot of power to run, and unless I'm mistaken, this is set up as a fuel based thruster so it doesn't. It also opens up the opportunity for a system where you're drawing in oxygen from vents and expelling it through the thrusters, allowing for what amounts to ducted jet engines, which creates lots of interesting design options which will, I state again, provide a low-energy alternative to normal atmospherics.
FurryJack 22. jan. 2017 kl. 14:09
dont we already have an "oxygen" thruster, well it requires to have access to it or a little because yes its a jet engine:steamfacepalm:
Inq182 17. okt. 2016 kl. 13:23
No no no I meant that actual oxygen fuelled thrusters by the laws of chemistry and science won't work because oxygen burns extremely quickly. Just because you say its a jet engine does not make it one. If you want to have a mod like this, so be it, but don't forget about scientific inconsistancies...

@SoulTechnology

It was there acctually before @Le Inquisitor said that. I guess he just missed it or something...
Just sayin'

I would like to make them like you say you would like them to be, but there is a couple problems :/
1.I play on the Dx9-32bit version... i know this is kinda bad but I have too... (that version has got older Mod API
2.I am not a programist/coder/whatever (yet) anyways, so i couldn't make it... (just making a mod in SE that adds new blocks can be done in Notepad xD And it simply requires you to know a bit of English. And making thrusters work like RCS, and some other complicated stuff would have to be coded, which is just too hard for me now)

For now I think I am going to nerf these thrusters a bit... or rebalance them.

Also there is some mods in the Workshop that add such feature, but for all of the thrusters.
SoulTechnology 17. okt. 2016 kl. 4:25
@le inquisitor

i dont knwo if this was updated after your comment but
"-Works only in planet's atmosphere, because it seems that it is some kind of a jet engine."
and this makes sence, but that kinda just makes the atmospheric thruster seem poinless if there the same thing tho, so i agree in a different manner.

personally...
id like to see the atmo varient switched out for a manuvering varient (and change the current one so you have 'thrust' and 'manuvering' like in ksp) and used feul to act as a gryo.
Inq182 18. sep. 2016 kl. 9:17
FYI no hate here, but oxygen thrusters don't work in atmosphere... without spontanious combustion and/or extremely fast fuel burn...

Another update to this mod is on it's way! Nothing fancy like new models yet, but i may soon work on these!
TheGreatJam 3. mar. 2016 kl. 8:13
Rozumiem, dziękuje bardzo for this mod mate, much appreciated. If you do get back into it then kudos if you can find a way :)
-=KptKosmit91=-  [ophavsmand] 3. mar. 2016 kl. 8:00
It is probably possible, but it will be hard to do it, since im not the best modder, and currently I just dont play SE for a while

Jest to pewnie możliwe, ale będzie mi trudno to zrobić, nie jestem najlepszym modderem oraz dawno nie grałem w SE
TheGreatJam 2. mar. 2016 kl. 12:24
Czy moge prosic thruster pan Waider :)
TheGreatJam 2. mar. 2016 kl. 12:23
Please sir, can you make your thruster a bit more like this or create another MOD version? Hydrogen is used in atmosphere (oxygen is provided by the atmosphere) but oxygen from tanks and hydrogen is needed out of atmosphere or where there is none/very little such as the alien planet and mars. http://www.reactionengines.co.uk/sabre_howworks.html
Frayboy15 18. jan. 2016 kl. 18:29
Maybe rename the help thruster to "Brake" thruster.
Dephenistrator 3. dec. 2015 kl. 7:02
:D!!!!!
-=KptKosmit91=-  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2015 kl. 10:30
I have updated this mod! added a new thruster and made some tweaks for the existing oxygen thruster.

Sadly, the hydrogen-oxygen thruster didn't work correctly :(
-=KptKosmit91=-  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2015 kl. 7:53
Dephenistrator, it's rather easy, just a few moments in a Notepad and you done your mod! xD
(this will not be a really advanced mod tho, like this one)
-=KptKosmit91=-  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2015 kl. 7:51
Yendor, that might be a bit hard to do, as I am not a very skilled modder :/
P.S i might not understand everything very well as i'm not English :/
Dephenistrator 2. dec. 2015 kl. 1:19
I just wish i could make a viable engine for space that doesn't cost ridiculous gas or platinum. my survival game feels rather grounded.
YENDOR MOSREH 1. dec. 2015 kl. 13:33
you could also design an atmopheric intertal combustion turbo jet that gets its oxygen from the atmosphere same as the atmos thrusters but use hydrogen to burn not power, and i was just telling a friend that you could use iron ore as it dose look rusty and rust is locked up oxygen and iron, so a retrofited refinery would collect any oxygen lost during smelting, say an upgrade unit like the effency moduls, there is a lot of gasses released in smelting metals, or even ice would have some traces of minerals etc
-=KptKosmit91=-  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2015 kl. 11:54
I will soon start to work on the oxygen-hydrogen thruster, and I think I will soon nerf these, because you could probably just put some vents on a ship and set it to depresurize - Infinite fuel really (i can't test them on planets btw, but i believe they work)
YENDOR MOSREH 29. nov. 2015 kl. 1:12
also you could use vents on a small ship to supply the oxygen tanks
YENDOR MOSREH 29. nov. 2015 kl. 1:09
can you make a thruster than burns both hydrogen and oxygen, the thrust you would gain would be huge, it would be a valid system, just remember atm oxygen and or hydrogen thrusters get the thrust from excelerating the gas with a magnetic field, but if you burn the 2 gases you get way more power, and since it is oxygen and hydrogen you are burning it would turn back to water vaper
Dephenistrator 27. nov. 2015 kl. 0:19
can you make a seperate version that runs out of atmosphere? great work btw!
Animal 22. nov. 2015 kl. 7:30
WHy would a thruster that expells gas as rection mass only work in atmosphere?
Grimson 21. nov. 2015 kl. 13:28
would it be possible to make a hydrogen+oxygen thruster? that also works in space. because thats exactly what real life rockets are like :D
