Yes. This will not eliminate trash build up, but absolutely should be reducing city trash in the area you place the building.... It is working on my test games on three computers... Could I trouble you to click on the building and tell me the states displayed? Thank you for working with me dannylee...

dannyllee do you have garbage service to this facility and the area? I ask because you still need garbage services do to the low stats, but helps with the waste. I am sorry, never experienced this and the asset was built 5 years ago... I have questions.

I called the company this asset is modeled after and ask how many people work there as I have only seen 5, this asset had 5 and he would not tell me until I told him I am working on an asset for Cities Skylines called "Recycle Right" and he asked "IS THIS POPULOUS!!!"... "Yes, it is.".... "I HAVE POPULOUS ON THE LINE RIGHT NOW! We have 28 employees! I am a huge fan!" Made my entire week right there.

RobinMollyBlue I will check it out and see what is going on. The concept is that they recycle and so resell all usable items like electronics, metals and etc. so as to decrease your land fill rate, but not eliminate all waste. Thank you for letting me know and I will check this out.

I have all the DLC and some mods but I don't think any of them would interfere with this.These fill up and garbage starts to build up in the neighborhood, but there isn't an option to empty. I'm able to bulldose them so it's not a big deal, but I thought they were not meant to fill all the way. Otherwise I love this asset. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

We have these building here and the idea is they recieve a bunch of junk on Wednesday, go through it all, clean it up and fix it and sell it used.... Exactly the partern you are seeing caused by the settings being right at the border of function... the rest is pure messed up CS game code.

To clarify ... regardless of what number is displayed as Processing Rate / week, it doesn't seem to *actually* process any garbage until it fills up, at which time Al Gore shows up and waves a carbon offset over the whole pile and it vanishes.

(At least in on my PC) This asset works ... after a fashion. Here's what I've observed --

* the Garbage Reserves limit is 200K
* the garbage "on-hand" automatically increases by 10 at every tick of some clock
* the Processing Rate / week increases every time a garbage truck returns
* the Power Output is 0 ... until some point I haven't caught (possibly the next)
* when the garbage "on-hand" exceeds @ 180K, the center stopps sending out trucks
* eventually, due to the automatic increase, garbage "on-hand" reaches the 200K limit, at which point
-- the garbage "on-hand" is decreased by 200K
-- Power Output resets to 0
-- Processing Rate / week resets to 0 (though, once new garbage is delivered, it increases from where it was before the reset)
-- the center starts sending out trucks

I read and hear this from time to time about mine and other assets and not sure why buildings work just below or way above the actual settings of the asset... Thank you zenek for letting me know what you found and if I can find anything wrong with the asset, I will keep you posted.

Actually yes, this is the concept. We have places like this is California so... It allso allows greater processing without having to dump as much as it takes in without being a cheat.

Brand new asset from scratch, trucks go out and return. Added cim makers to allow cims to rummage through cargo containers and minor lighting fixes. On one of the maps the building was never set to Active by the game, but functions perfectly however at a higher capacity than set. Game issue, the code is new and clean on this asset. Hope you Enjoy and continue always to let me know if you find anything wrong with any of these assets.

Ok, found a map I never tried and was able to duplicate the issue. The building does accumulate trash as it is supposed to, however does not send out trucks any more. As nothing I have tried to fix this works, I will build a new one and replace this with an update. Cool?

ItsDieter, hello and oh my, I let this go because I was sick at the time, well now I have the flue... I will look into this again and see why only a few people have this issue.

I'm having the same problem as Dosudro. Reserves are maxed, no trucks go out and it will not empty. All other facilities are fine. Thanks for any help.

Just to help you on your checking, I deleted all existing garbage collection facilities and then let the game run for several weeks. The center showed an accumulation of garbage, but all my buildings were red on trash collections.

Dosudro, this could be because another waste facility has the area covered, or an issue due to the update. I will check it out and get back to you this weekend.

The trucks won't go out and pickup the trash.
