The ship onluy work for earth like planet, i cant make it spawn for mars or alien planets :) pitty

of course, one of the best things about this is the fact that it is vanilla, so I like having the ability to decide what becomes of it in terms of mods XD

Rusty, if you use mods, I could recommend a goal of replacing the Small Atmospheric Thrusters with Hydra Thrusters (not the atmospheric ones included in the modpack, but the others) which are actually more powerful and work outside of atmosphere (also put some on the bottom, they are somehow airtight and there are spaces on the ship that are as though they were made for said spots)

Hello @RustyTrader, well, it is possible, but since the main idea of this ship is to be used inside the atmosphere of a planet, there would be no point in doing that. I would recomend not using the "Habitable planet" scenario with this ship since you will allways spawn in space, the bether one to use is the star sistem scenario. But if you end up spawning outside of the atmosphere, just use the hydro Thrusters to put you on the direction of the planet and enjoy the trip. =)

Any possibility of getting Standard thrusters fitted (2 in each direction) for when you spawn to far from a planet, one in each direction would be sufficient but looks odd.
That will help with space movement for when you spawn in space miles away from the nearest planet and want to do some space traveling before landing on a planet.

@nxterminator579 - Yes, there is a good chance that in the moment you make the connection the landing gear will clip trough the armor, and on releasing it it will be a great chance of explosion. Just try to avoid it, and the game will be a bit less frustating. =)

odd results:
-tried a vanilla world: worked fine
-tried removing mod from existing world: not fine

@PsicoPato, as an FYI if you ever want to rebalance for a little leaner without being your "Crashed" version, the "landing" part of the landing can be done with about 40% of the current tanks you have, leaving 60% for high altitude maneuvering. (meaning, if you leave yourself at least 40% fuel, or 50% if you want a buffer, you can use the rest to fly around and look for a landing. If you do most of your aiming while still in less than .4 gravity it goes really far, I think with luck you could orbit the planet and still land. Also using the vanilla speed you will not go faster than 104m/s so don't keep thrusting once you're going that fast. Just tap the thrusters everytime your speed drops to 103m/s and remember to thrust away from the planet regardless of the direction you are traveling. Awesome ships, thank you!

Hello @MadGreyOne. You can modify the ship the way you like. Just remember to credt me if you decide to put it on the workshop. =)

About the hydrogen pods, i really put this amount of hydrogen to let players have the time to choose where they want to land. And it is kind of needed if you spawn above a mountain, because of the height, the atmospheric thrusters have little strength, so the hydrogen thrusters are necessary to help you get out of the region. But i can recommend to try land with the hydrogen thrusters still attached, so you will be able to grind them for extra parts. =)

I really like these ships and the detaching pods are very cool, but I find them a little wasteful. Can I try to redesign a couple of these to have modular starter bases on the merge blocks instead of the hydrogen thrusters?

I find I can easily land these with 50%+ Hydrogen in the tanks, and with no speed mod you don't really need to use the hydrogen at all. Since I end up landing with only the atmosheric engines I'd rather carry something like a turret/defense station or the begining of a mining rig.

Hello @nxterminator579, i cannot confirm if the problem is still in game right now, i will be testing it in fact to see. But you can avoid problems by using the connector to dock the small ship when the large ship is landed and when on movment with the large ship, mantain the small ship doked only with the landing gears.

@PsicoPato: This docked small ship issue you mentioned, is it still something I should worry about? I honestly haven't heard of it (nor tried flying docked ships lately), so I am curious if it is still out there, and how it will affect me.

Great starter ship , Used it for my Star System planetary survival . I started with the Miner , works great and love the Hydrogen brakes, along with the decouple sequence . Overall great ship, P.S: The Service bay doors 10/10

this is interesting but you didn't give enough instructions. how do I get rid of the large engines like in your pictures? what do all these preset controlls on the toolbar do?

I've been looking for a Planetary Lander that will actually land instead of crash horribly. This looks like a well thought out one. As much as I hate KSW's insistence that we use Hydrogen engines they seem a must for landing on first drop and this is the only Respawn ship I've seen that actually has them.
