There're some bugs I've encountered with hydrogen thrusters at all, no matter if tiered or vanilla. Sometimes it helps removing some of them or all, and attaching them again. They often refuse to work if one is misaligned. Maybe cycling power could help. Just tested them in an empty world, all 4 types with a new built large ship in creative, having 1 reactor, some gyros, one hydrogen tank (without any generator) and conveyor blocks underneath any thruster -- no problems.
If you like, take a look at the "Tiered Thrusters", those with T4 "Angel Fire". They don't have significant less power than these tiered hydrogen thrusters.
One of the ways to get around the bug is disconnect the conveyor line to where you’re placing the thruster, place the thruster then reconnect the conveyor line.
can u provide the log so i can see what the error is
If possible, T1 -Yellow, T2 -Orange, T3 -Darker Orange/Red, T4 - Dark Blue/Dark Purple or White
Those stages symbolizing the heat coming off the thrusters since it is hydrogen, If not maybe just another simply edited mod for color choices :)
if u want an easy way out of the cubeblocks im all good with u just taking this ones xml and replace-all on the model lines with notepad++ ;)

Btw, your hydrogen balancer really helps to balance when there are others tiered thruster around
Good info on Atm./Ion thrusters though, didnt know that.
the bug occurs because the ions only provide 30% in atmosphere but the hydrogen provide 100%, this inbalance is not been worked out correctly by the game in the dampeners so i have equaled this out by giving the ions 100% then all you need to do is only use hydrogens or only use ions but do not mix and match unequally.
not my mod, its just made worse by my mod because these thrusters are more powerfull, its a game bug and i have thrown in game bug fixes in this mod to mitigate the issue for now :)
also il mention lastnight i was checking out a new blueprint of the workshop and just vanilla hydrogen thrusters on the bottom the ship was falling =\
If u place these thrusters with vanilla or other "updated" thrusters, these ones here break the dampening thrust. This means a ship cant even keep itself a float (on planets), and also have less "self stopping" thrust.
Let me explain.
- A ship that has enough thrust to fight gravity on a planet for ex, say 1-2x needed amount.
- Put a single one of these thrusters in this mod on the same ship, and suddenly that ship will not keep itself up with dampeners on. U still have the same lift ability, but only if u self push it in that dir.
I saw a youtube video that had this same issue, and a comment on it said this issue. And now it happened to me, almost causing one of my ships to plummet to the ground. It has something to do with them not being updated to the new dampening code, witch makes the entire ship bug out.
