Hello again! I have good news and bad news for XA users.

The good news is that the crash should be fixed. HOORAY!

The bad news is that I needed to create a new mod ID since I didn't have the original files.

Hello Gnomoria fam! I'm sorry that this mod has been broken for so long! I created this mod before the final launch of the game, and that launch caused some incompatibilities with this mod. I've finally taken some time to investigate and I've discovered why things aren't working.

If I can figure out how to publish an update, I will get this mod working again. Sadly I'm on a new computer and my original files are missing. The worst case is that I will republish the mod with a new ID and delete this one.

It's been almost 5 years since my last update so it's been a loooong time coming :steamfacepalm: but Gnomoria hasn't been in my thoughts for quite a while, so I apologize again to those who have been waiting. At this point my first step is to get things working again. Once that's done I would love to realize some of the ideas I had when I first came up with this mod.

Almost one year later and this mod still crashes to desktop when I attempt to generate a new world with it. I really love the mod but it simply doesn't work anymore.

Launching a new world with this as the base mod causes the game to crash. I don't see any fixes in the comments so I'm going to have to pass on this one. Someone let me know if this ever gets fixed.

Yeah, seems to be broken... I've had a look at the xmls but I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, mind you only learnt how to mod this afternoon :P

unfortunatly completly inusable. everytime i start a game with this mod included the game crashes while generating the map :steambored::steamsad:

Currants grow on large bushes, so they don't really fit in with the trellis farm. Strawberries, on the other hand, actually are usually trellised, so you could swap your currants with vanilla strawberries and have trellised strawberries and shrubby currants.

If you switch over to the indev branch (beta opt in) then this bug will allready have been fixed for you by the developer.

Koki - are you in the EU? A lot of people are having trouble with a lot of mods because their computer is expecting commas instead of the American periods. There are instructions elsewhere on how to change your settings or the XML file to make it work for you. (For example, an EU-settings computer will read a mining time of 0.9 seconds as 9 seconds, making it take quite longer than it should.)

Any plans for vegetables? I've noticed a distinct lack of potatoes and veges in general in Gnomoria. It'd be cool to grow lettuce and tomatoes and have the option in the kitchen to make salads and other meals like that.

@back_buffer as I recall I can't find any of your seeds and plants in factions. So I'm using Esp factions as a base and including your items to his factions.xml

Have any of you guys had issues with merchants, or is this only a multi-mod thing?

I'm currently using your mod to create my own multi-mod. Tidying it up a bit and including the new plant stuff in merchant. Keep up the good work

@Doc - Does this include all previous crops? I didn't touch any of the existing durations and all of the new durations are copies. Cotton is probably the best test since I haven't changed it or added any fibers.

@pepe - I worked as a game developer for about 10 years. Best place to start with Gnomoria is to just jump in and start changing stuff :) Just make sure you test, test, test!

Farming takes ages with your mod installed. Tilling a single plot takes many times longer than it used to. This is using Indev 1.0 RC 2

I like your mod, keep it up :)
A tip though, add comments in your files for all items you add, remove or change so that other modders can more easily merge yours with theirs. its a real pain going through the files to try and find what you changed.
Also remova all the files from your mod where you have not changed anything, this will prevent double menu items ingame and prevent lots of "duplicate not loaded" messages in the log ;)

Also, where is a good place to learn how to mod gnomoria? 'Cuase I wouldn't mind adding in some tropical fruit tree and bushes. Like ice cream bean trees, pummelo trees, and maybe even sugar apple trees. Maybe I could even help with the mod, provided you want help ;-)

I like where this mod is going, though it would be nice if the Currants were not just a recolored grape. You do know there are grapes that can be red right? (I've had some that were pretty bright red myself, so dont say they don't come in those colors!)

@JimmyWhite - That sounds like the comma/period bug that some folks have been seeing with mods. It's an issue that the developer is working on fixing.

Hi, I encountered a bug/issue with mod: When I start game and start cliping then trees has still leaves, wheat looks like grown up and Yacks "overproduce" milk (after 1st day I have 1300 drink :D).

Hey guys, thanks for the comments.

I'm not planning on hosting the mod anywhere except Steam Workshop for a very long time. I don't want to deal with updating several portals when I add something new. As others have pointed out, you can dig for the files if you are really determined to add this mod to another one.

All of the new items are exactly as powerful as the existing items. For example, barley grows at the same speed as wheat, and wheat bread satisfies the same hunger as barley bread. I might end up rebalancing some food items once I add new food recipes, but that's pretty far down the line.

Vine crops are next on my list, keep your eyes peeled :)

What is the drink and food queality of these crops? are they better than wheat and grain? do they take shorter or longer to grow? I'd love to know some details of this mod

@Sliv Try just selling the excess to merchants. That is how I get rid of my excess seeds that my Emu do not eat.

That mechanic isn't availabe to mod creators, but feel free to post that suggestion in the official forums. Until then, just sell the extras to a merchant to free up space.

nice! is it possible to do something with seeds? its overwhelming after few years, and requires a lot of space in stockpile. Like rotting for unstored food/seeds items.
