Hey I went ahead and made them into npcs. I am working on making them spawn in with random parts like in the citizens+ mod. How would I go about giving you the code?

@minic23 you really need to get some lua modders to make your xcom stuff into functional content and not just props dont get me wrong the props are great for makeing movies but... we all need a good xcom fps but unfortunatly Firaxis isnt knowen for for makeing good fps games.

The turn based ones are good and the TPS (Well, the second one) is shit. Boring, bland, uninteresting and lets not forget, sperating too far from what XCOM is. And, honesly, XCOM: EU/W both combine to make a fair price. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to download 2.

XCOM was never been third personal shooter, only tactical turn-based strategy (X-COM: Apocalypse have real-time mode). Except classic X-COM: Enforcer and "Bureau: XCOM Declassified"

I dont like XCOM because it wasnt what i thought it would be, I thought it was supposed to be some 3rd person shooter, When in reality its some bullshit map based game you would see on an iphone game.

Alternatively if you're willing to go father and do some model part hacking, you could use the Counter-Strike: Source models and add HL2 model heads, replace the hands with the enhanced citizens hands if you want them to do things like make rude gestures, and make a clean version of the HL2 green refugee torso for support staff. You might have to ask the people who put those on workshop to get the models since GMod.org is perminately down.

If you want I could look for parts for you, see if I can find the PMC pack, conscripts, etc. up for download somewhere if you want (I think I have the PMC pack models off Gmod.org from when it was still up). But you would have to reskin them. If you can hack the caps and maybe helmet you could make some nice extra bodygroups, but first things first.

My main problem with this is the choice of model, the HL2 rebels are obviously, well, rebels. This bothers me far more than the textures.

You right, but I can't add physmodel to ragdoll and nobody have wish to port this model from SFM to Workshop.

I'm pretty sure someone ported over a female solider for SFM so it's possible
In fact Dr Shen, Central and Valern are all on the SFM workshop
