This would be a perfect mod, but the doorways have no wall snap points. Not even for roofs. So there is no way to make the building higher than the doorway. Due to having to use the roof next to it to get a roof piece to snap over the doorway.

Sorry, you are right. Yes, I menat 90°. But I would like almost 180°. Possible? Otherwise, too easy to run against the doors when coming from the side. Even in realy life, we open doors to much more than just 90°. Also taking away too much space in front of a door.

from my experience its 90° for those and all the gates in the game.

why make a gate 1 wide? like, i want a gate thats 2x2 so i can have some nice sexy time rooms inside my palace but do not want ugly big gaes nexts to my tiger statues holding lightning bolts

These are great for my stable, one problem: I can't get my horse out now. Looks like it should be big enough, but the equus just gets stuck halfway through. Is this coded as a house-door?

@dubCUT in the preview it snaped on the top points but when I placed the gates they always were at the bottom points. I forced the gates to snap on the top points by building a ramp at the foundation side i wanted them to be. :)

ok. don't they use both snap points? S+ has one on top and one at the bottom, i think

@dubCUT Yeah I see that now. The problem is/was that die gates often dont fit right with S+ foundations. they snap to the lower side of them instead of the upper side of the doundations. It works fine with vanilla foundations :)

Love it! But unfotunatly the gates are 1.5 walls high. thats a little problem if u want to build a boat or a house with those.

New "needs":
I need metal+glass gates 3 or 5 walls wide, and 3 walls high maximum. And they need to be able to snal to existing walls on their side. The gateway can be purly metal, while the gate could be mostly glass (same glass as "Metal & Glass" mod) and have a modern look, not much decoration. And the gates should be able to open not just 90°, but user-defined (max. 170°) or slide to both sides or upwards (several parts into each other). Both sides identical (inside/outside). Usable on rafts. Paintable. If you do this, best in an own mod to prevent too much load on the game for unneeded things), I will come and wash your car! :-D

Is this mod being updated? We're running a server and it wont work.

I think you forgot the Metal Gateframe... there is a metal gate ...

I need door frames for 1 unit wide and 2 units tall snapping to the walls beside it, and also a door frame that is one door opening wide and 2 units tall. Both needs to have double doors that open wide (170° instead of the current 90°). Lumber, stone, metal. Thanks.

Apologies if I'm being really dim, but I'm having trouble getting the blueprints to appear in my inventory.

I'm playing single-player, and I press tab to get the console command line up. I then put in 'EnableCheats' and then your 'GiveItem' lines but nothing appears.

I know I'm probably doing something wrong - if you could point me in the right direction I'd be really grateful.

Some of you wanted pics for comparison, I made one, original gates and "gate mod" + "small gates" mods.
They are all metal variations of the gates, I put an argent in and the metal door frame for size comparison.

i want somethting like this but i w2ant it for breeding pens for small animals like sabers so if they don't fit it's not going to work...

can we get a picture comparing the mod gates to the vanilla ones? i want a large gate for my water base but not something as big as the vanilla behemoth.

Sabers don't fit through :( Great mod though, I love the look of these gates as french doors! Any idea if you're going to do other sizes such as a 2x2?

Neither an Argent nor a Ptera will fit through the gate, also when tying to put them on a fence foundation they seem to only want to place on the Diagonal. Worked around it by placing the fence foundation 90 degrees from where i wanted the gate, looks tacky but works. So FYI for anyone else, if you want to block your argents inside an enclosed area this gate will not work. Leaving it on my server currently as it makes it so i can have a seperate hatching/raising room for babies and smaller land dinos.

@Dr. Mabumsen try placing down a fence foundation. It makes snapping easy just like with normal gates.

This mod is great! I tend to build rooms at least two walls high and this helps make matching doors! I have this running on my dedicated server and the players love it! Thanks!

Since they have made the railing that can be used to create a cage, can you make a gate that fits with that look? Maybe keep the same gateways, but make the doors have a railing look to them. Thanks.

alright I'll add it and see what happens im trying to enclose my roof of my main base and the regular gates don't work properly for this so im forced to use mods.

:-) haven't tested argents walking through. but i think this should fit. the gate is one foundation wide.
the mod does not change any core data. it only adds the small gates as additional engrams.

snapping is a bit whacky in the game, sorry. but i can fit them side by side. all of them. sometimes you need to walk around a little bit until it snaps where you want to. you can even flip them 180° by pressing E.
