It's an "allied" star to help distinguish friendly vehicles from the air. If you search for WW2 historical photos of British tanks, you will see the stars on many of them.

why the US star ?

The M5 half track/m16 half track + the m10 achilles from lend lease assault regiment aren't covered by this skin pack.

Could use an update, Brits have a new unit (M16 Halftrack) that isn't affected by this skin pack.

Are any of these supposed to be done in Khaki Green No.3 (G3) or Dark Green No.4 (G4)?

I was referring to Olive Drab with Vikinger update which hit 80MB. Although I don't know if other skins have been affected that much. Good to hear you continue, I will check it. I don't have interest in skins without decals anyways.

@ViperCanel: Hello Viper. Huge mod specific skins? I'm not sure what you mean. All my skins so far have been made with Spearhead (and most recently Wikinger) tuning mods in mind.
I am currently working on a Soviet winter skin pack and will have to release it under my 3rd account due to limitations. Hopefully I can get it finished in a few weeks. So, yes, you will defintely see more stuff from me, just not re-releases of skin packs without decals.

@Sandman: Thanks, but may I ask why? This skin pack is meant to be a historical representation of British armored vehicles. In all the reference pictures I used to create this skin pack, I found that each of these vehicles had the "Allied" star for identification purposes. It's not unique to American armor.
Besides, Steam has limited the amount of content(1gb) I'm allowed to post to the workshop. I simply don't have the space to reupload this pack without the decals....sorry.

Good skins...could you make them without the American star insignia?

Not a big problem, but wanted to inform you light vehicle skins of this pack also appear in USF items.

You have the best historical and photorelistic skins.

My vehicles all still have the blue markings over it though, and turning off player colors in the options didn't work. Is there a mod needed to get rid of the ridiculous markings?

@Georider @Starbuck, ok ty ty. Im in the same boat as you Georider, where are these tanks at in the game.

@Ghost Sherman VC is Firefly , Sherman V is sherman M4A3 with 75 gun. I don;t fint a point why not include US vehicles since the British Armored Division used these, in fact I'm finding anoyed that sherman 76W is not incluted to US and only in Soviets, that kind of Sherman was used by lt.colonel Abrams Thunderbolt VI (VII was an Easy8) and also fron 1st Polish Armored Division after 45 to replace the missing sherman Firefly VC.

@Ghost: Nope, you aren't missing something. The Spearhead tuning pack, among other mods, will/may incorporate m10 and 75mm Sherman into British playable doctrine. I added these in case they do.

Am i missing something with not having the M10 and the sherman VC, i dont seem to have them nor do i see a comander that allows them?

Starbuck , you are THE MAN!!!! , excellent work , historical and accurate , nobody will bother that is a mix of british using cammo in italy and western europe. Since I'm familliar with starbuck WIP on this skinpack I must say he devoted to us one of the best skinpacks and since all are from scratch i give him a big 10' ( that is what we use in Greece for A+++) !!!
