Does this mod still work?

To change the lights color you have to switch the light off. Change color then turn back on.

The light functions and can be placed.

But it seems, the selection of light color is disabled at the moment.

Is this mod dead? Or does it still work?

Have you ceased development of this mod?

Hello, after the latest patch 271.22 I can unfortunately no longer load the Mod in the game and thus use. It would be nice if this can be fixed, since it is a super mod !!! Thanks in advance.

Yeah sorry about that. No it wouldn't. I asked because I thought the mod would improve the quality of existing light effect plus adding additional lights (ceiling light). I didn't thought it would JUST add new lights. The title "Better lights" mislead me kinda.

@Nek'Res I could. But it wouldn't make much sense and also i think it might be a game breaker for the normal players.

Can you make the light not require electricity? :/

Could you add a lamp that looks very modern to this mod (but all the same features)? Like a standing, vertical glass cylinder that illuminates, one wall high, and can be placed one above each other (snapping in).

Can you also create a very thin (flat) "patch" that can be added over a wall, or to a floor on the ground or to a ceiling? Light-emitting, different colors. Widh: 1 floor or 1/3 floor (two versions). Height: maybe adjustable between a thick line to wall height. Call it an ultra-flat lamp.

I joined a Server and then it just installed this mod. Then nothing happened but down right it just says "installing 1 mod(Better Lights)". And it stays saying that for hours now? I'm neww to modding ARK, so i have no idea why it's there.

@mito020026 i'm sorry but i belive i can't help you with that problem. File privileges normally have to do something with your system user rights, but i've never experienced something like that with a mod for ark

Well, my mod was not causing that bug so there was no need for a fix. And i think that also the pet res mod has fixed that error a long time ago.

So are the bugs with that fixed then? And if I add Pet Res will I have that issue?

Ok the other mod author was able to replicate the issue(I don't have pet resurrection installed). This issue seems quite widespread among multiple mods now. I wonder why.

I know that the pet resurrection mod got updated today and the creator stated that he fixed the bug.

In my case it was caused by this mod http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=733395167 not pet ressurection. However the author can't replicate it. Maybe the mods indifferer?

@Nexolight i had that issue on my server too. I had the Pet Resurrection mod installed, and couldn't learn any mod engrams at all. After removing the mod, everything worked fine. I've also removed every mod on my Server, cleared the steamcmd cache before downloading and installing them again so this might also be a workaround.

With this update (may be another of total 4 mods) all engrams from mods are now unlearnable and reset. I remember that one mod some time ago caused exactly this issue as well. (http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=737297870&searchtext=stats+bars)

@Boba_Fettish the Placement bug you've mentioned seems to be on your end. I've tested in Singleplayer and on my Servers and i can place the lights just fine.

I will be updating this mod today, i will look at the placement bug and also why the lights don't save the intensity when they're controlled by the daylight sensor

Latest Update seems to have broken several mods with lighting in them (including this one). Items will get the green outline but wont place place.

the intensity of lights turns back on low,when the light to pass through the sensor.

Good news, finally figured out how to find out if it's day or night ingame. That means Daylight sensors (Auto On/Off). Of course you can disable the Daylight sensor if your want. Next Update will probably come this friday if everything works out.

@Damon, I learned the engrams without problems too. Its is working.

@Damon I've had thatexact issue in the past albeit with a different mod (Annunaki Genesis to be exact). I fixed it by uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it

@Damon, i tried to learn the engram and everything worked just fine. I've tried it in singleplayer and also on my server and i've had no issues learning the engram.

One of my players noticed the ceiling and wall lights appeared in the Engrams list, but is not learnable. I confirmed this, as I have a couple hundred points available and these cost 5 Engrams each. Clicking the button does not learn the Engram. The server has been restarted last weekend, so I assume that is not the issue. I'll see if it's any different after the server update/restart tomorrow, though.

@Gweincalar I forgot, just one more request, please. Could you implement auto turn on on nights and auto turn-off on days? Like as: Auto Torch - modID: 543859212

Thanks for the mod Gweincalar. I have no idea how easy/hard this would be to implement but would it be possible to set the items so they can be picked up once placed?

Working on the mod for the next two Days to add new Stuff. There will be a Ceiling Light and i will
also try to add a wall light to the mod. Both will have the same options as the current lights. So expect the mod to be updated in 1 or 2 days

Mod removed, every restart all the lights go away
