Game devs have been very responsive lately. The Long Dark was the first IMO to take user feedback seriously to the point that they had an open thread for user suggestions. I took the liberty of listing everyone's suggestions, mine included in group format as a single post as time went by to help make sure the good suggestions weren't overlooked, and they listened. Much of what I was asking for as well as what others wanted made it to the game, which made it very satisfying to play, I still go back once in a while to play it, but it's a grindy game, takes a long time to get going, so I never last long.

That sounds pretty awesome! I've never really been able to get into online gaming myself, but I know tons of people who still play Rust religiously! I bet they are more likely than me to have heard of your stuff and the server you mentioned. It's pretty crazy how sometimes the community around a game or franchise can have a pretty big effect on future developments. It's awesome when devs pay attention to the culture their games inspire and allow that culture to shape the game itself in some ways :D

Hell yeah on TES6! Modding and creation does bring people together for sure. I never figured out how to create stuff other than maps to be honest. I did make a very popular PVE Rust server, so that was creation in a way, again using other people's work, but I put the mods together in such a fashion that it became a thing. To the point that Facepunch got the message and went in the direction of adding more PVE bots to the map vanilla. I helped a friend clone my server, and he continued to mod like I was when he carried the torch, went a little further than I would have but it was nice to have a similar place to go when I shut it down, infact it's still up today, it's called "Bot Wars Redux" if you're into Rust check it out.

@Some Old Gamer lmao I guess it kinda did go out of style. Even so, Skyrim and the mods are holding up pretty well considering the age of the game. Guess we're all just patiently waiting for ES VI haha
I just remember I used to read hours and hours of wikihow's on modding and I just don't quite feel like doing that again just yet. Nice to chat with another creator though! I guess this stuff tends to bring people together.

I learned to mod games on Skyrim years ago, with other people's work, I mean install them and basically I learned how the file system really works with this game. That took me to COH, then Rust, I'm just revisiting Skyrim out of boredom, but thanks for responding.

@BadKarma, If I could remember how I would... lol. @flashyraccoon, i hear ya I can't manage to figure out how to make COH maps anymore, I used to pump them out like it was going out of style, and ya know it did.

Some Old Gamer: build a Hearthfire homestead, you'll get more than enough storage fr all junk.

I really hate to disappoint but tbh it's highly unlikely I'll be making any more updates to this mod. It's been years since I've touched creation kit and all that, and I've moved from creating content as a hobby to doing it professionally. Maybe I'll pick it back up again in my spare time one day, who knows.
Anyway, I hope you still enjoy the other aspects of the mod, even if it's a bit short on storage for your liking! :)

I hope I'm missing a storage area because I'm new to the mod

I love the place, but there's one major problem. Not enough storage. I like at least two boxes near my black smithing area and 4 near my enchanting and alchemy area. I like at least 3 in my sleeping quarters also, but I prefer more. I like to be organized, put things in groups, the more boxes the less confusing each storage container is. Sorry no disrespect, great mod, but some more storage would be nice :) maybe change the one open box in the black smith area to storage as a minimum??

I have probably posted a comment and upvoted almost every mod I'm using, even if it is really old stuff. And a few actually have replied including you and I think it's really cool.

Yes indeed, lore friendly and realistic is important and I honestly prefer stuff like this over big @ss "grand hall" type player homes, some which has custom annoying npcs and overstocked containers with crafting mateirals.

I can't speak for other creators, but for me, a good player home/den is about being lore friendly and realistic. That includes not having OP loot sitting around where it wouldn't make sense. So a random recluse with no apparent extraordinary archery or fletchery skills would probably, at best, have some basic archery equipment sitting around. At least that's my line of thinking lol. The arrows are more like usable decor.

Just wanted to inform that I located the key and everything seems to be smooth without any issues.
NO complaints, but I never understood why so many mod makers choose to place low tier arrows and bows on balconies.

This is by far my favorite player home mod. It's cosy, isolated, and has everything you could need. I absolutely love it!

yeah it could very well be the unique combo of mods and your vanilla save games or any other number of files that *just* create that unique problem. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful lol but I do hope you get it to work for you! If I come across a possible solution I will post it!

And yeah, whenever I encounter such a thing first thing I do is verify, but it doesn't seem to miss any files. So I wanted to ask to see if it happened before and if he'd know how to fix it.

Genuinely the first time I experienced such a thing, and so far nothing I've tried worked so far. xD

@Abela i know people constantly ask, but have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files? it might find some files you are missing and add them. just a thought! i haven't had a single problem with this mod. hope it works again.

@Abela I'm sorry, I've never heard anyone else say they experienced that same problem :/ Usually when there is an issue it has to do with the combination of other mods that are also installed. I would look for general information on how to prevent modded games from crashing! Hope you can get it to work, sorry I can't help more!

This mod used to work for some hours, but after a sudden crash whenever I activate this mod the game tells me I literally lack any ESM, BSA or ESP file I have. The error goes away when I deactivate the mod, any idea how to fix it? The house is amazing and I'd love to keep using it!

@dvchronique it's not hard to find at all, the door is in plain sight from the mine entrance mentioned in the description (opposite the mine entrance meaning that the mine entrance is across the path from it).
If you can't find it, it's probably because the mod didn't load correctly into your game - this is somethiong that can sometimes happen. There should be help in the description and other comments on how to fix that!

You should have put a mark on the map, or a picture of where to find it in Skyrim, because it is so tough to find...

@Allergies That's great! I've actually had the suspicion that skyrim and mods are just a bit finncky, but no one was ever able to confirm AND provide a solution! I'll quote your post in the Q&A above for everyone's benefit if you dont mind.

@flashyraccoon (and whoever else may be having the same problem): I fixed it actually - problem was on my end. Needed to uncheck the mod in the data files manager, close it, reopen, and re-check the mod. Showed up and works fine now. Wasn't even loading before (so an odd issue with the data manager/ files).

Great mod! My favorite house mod by far. Love the indoor spring and everything about the alchemy section.

@Allergies Opposite the mine. You hsould be able to see the door from the entrance of the mine!

Love this little place, has everything you need. The lay out is cool, on the stair the last step you cant walk over, you have to do a little hop but aside from that i love this mod, great job!

minor problems: walking up the balcony to the main house, the last step you carnt walk over.
(steps a little too high, got to jump last step. picky, i know. im just pointing out the faults) smithery needs one more light source near the armor bench. location of the balcony is right next to a mine where you will have to discover another location also. (both the lookout and a random mine with skeletons in it are both right next to each other) GREAT house. very cute, cosy, nicely laid out, EVERYTHING you need. 9.5/10. other problems take the .5 for me.

I found the body is downstairs from the balcony and I have a key but the modification is super I highly recommend

Great mod run along side so many others that I am suprised my pc can cope. I have to say out of all my houses I feel this one to be home..... Great mod, with zero issues other than I kept missing the body withn the key as.... I was looking in the wrong place!
Please keep modding! I aim to add your gypsy boat next, if I have any room left.
