Great! I love the real place :) If you want a very small map that has the same feel and look, I made Provincetown in the Fall map. Great for building a little village :D

This is my favourite map, hands down. The rolling hills and valleys look amazing populated with an American theme and I just love the touch of creepiness the fall trees add. Thank you for sharing this beautiful map. :)

Hi radwilly1. Oh this map looks awful compared to my recent work :D The trees are by other creators, so that's how we have colored trees. If you mean how did I mix the colors well, I set the tree brush to about .15 and then clicked lightly over the same area with each color. That means that I had to go over the entire map with trees 5 or 6 times :D :D Luckily, Move It mod's copy/paste function can do a much easier job at this. This map was one of my first back in 2015 ;)

Family friends live in irvington. Come up here all the time and it's such a beautiful area. Can't believe I found it in cities skylines! Quick question - how did you paint all the trees so well

I love how I can revisit memories of places I've seen through life by creating them virtually in this game. No paints and canvases needed for this kind of Bob Ross happy tree painting :D

Oh yes, I was :) My mom would take us to Sleepy Hollow on a day trip every fall, and other places right around Tarrytown in summertime. It's just a beautiful place all around.

Also, are you a local you seem to have a lot of interest in this town. If so, did you go on the hayride

Yup! It is indeed. The 13th and 14th picture up there ^^ show how it's exactly this part of NY. It uses a heightmap from US Geological Services, so the land is very accurate :)

It's about half as many as I share on my newer maps :D I figure, a map is going to be with you the whole way through your city build, so you'll want to see a lot of th emap before making your decision

How to Kill the Headless Horseman

Step 1. Flood the forest where they have seen him. This is good because he will Drown
Step 2. Make sure you drop your Sewage in there so he doesnt "Swim" out and he suffers greatly in his death smelling Shite.
Step 3. Build a Dam around the Entire Flood.
Step 4. Your done!

Hiya Prophet. Well, this was a giant exception in the style of maps I do (because after all, this is a ridiculously beautiful place). I almost always take a location and instead of exactly replicating it, I do some "interpretation" I guess you could call it, and try to capture the feel of the place. This one had so many memories of driving through, that I did most of the infrastructure as realistic as I could. I don't get far in my actual games, though, because very soon, I want to make another map lol
Now yes, I do need to release the college series. Now with After Dark, I can add some flood lights to the outside of the buildings. You got me, I forgot! lol!!! Will be soon, then

I live right by this location in real life and drive over the Tappan Zee frequently. You nailed the highways. Just curious, are you planning on or will you make a save game with the rest of the roads filled in or at the very least share your save game with the ichobods crane tomb and other features in your save game? Or is that already in the map and I just can't find it? One last thing, when are you releasing the college? :D

Yup! It looks even better with the new update because the standard temperate LUT shifts it way over to yellow, which is what the fall LUT did. Doesn't look right at all for a temperate summer, but it works well with this fall look I hoped for. Will post photos soon.

I've saved the heightmap, though, because at some point I may figure out how to balance a map that doesn't have much water inflow and outflow. That would most likely be the first one I do.

Take a look at this website, take that box, which is the game's playing grid, and you'll see that unfortunately there is pretty much nothing that will supply enough water for the game's mechanics. The brooks and streams are just too small, even the Passaic River is too small. But at least, if you want to, that website will give you the ability to get any map possible http://terrain.party/

Gee, @ojolson, I'm not sure I'd be familiar with that far, exotic place. After all, when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to go the three blocks down the road into this "Glen Rock" you speak of XD.
But seriously, yes, that can definitely added to the list, I'm just unsure of what we could use as a water source... Any ideas?

@MrMiyangi Could you consider doing a map centered around Glen Rock, New Jersey?

Ah! I see now. I was looking at Google Earth, but when I switch to road / political view, I see White Plains extends to the East further than area near the Bronx River. Shoot, I will fix the description.

Yup, I fudged that area and others, too, or rather had to, because the Bronx River is uncontrolled by the dam, and the rail line and the Bronx River Parkway as well would be iffy to put in there, especially once people try building a dam there. It won't be easy, but I put it there because people like dams. Although I left the players to make the Sawmill River Parkway, I was still annoyed that I couldn't include that up to the playable area, nor continue the Sawmill River Parkway NOR the Sprain Brook Parkway to an off-map connection to reflect the true route... because the connections are limited. So by the time I got to what is White Plains, I just threw down the rest of 287 and the rail connection in exasperation XD

As a resident of Westchester County I aprove of the accuacy exept there is only 1 minor problem. The Southern part of the Harlem line is wrong it needs to follow the Bronx river South as the RR line is on the Western side of White Plains. Besides that the map is fine other than the personal annoyance of my home city being just outside the buildible area
