This would sure tick someone off if you placed a random error in a map, then say you have to have a certian thing to remove it. THEY'LL BE TRYING FOR DAYS TO FIND IT!

@NNinja1255 I'll look into it, but I can't promise anything. An error texture sounds like something they'd hard-code into the game, and if that's the case there's nothing I can do.

you can spawn the model in Spawnlist > Addon > Blue Errors (Ported from Portal 2)

do a different texture error look because with the pink and black one, I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING.

This model makes the errors less "menacing" for some reason. It doesn't make me feel like my game is screaming at me: "YOU F*CKED UP! FIX YOUR GAME!"

It makes the game feel like it's saying: "Hey, you're missing some stuff, so make sure you have addons properly mounted."

That's because the model came straight from Portal 2. Models from that game have a different version number I believe, but they still work just fine. It's safe to ignore that message.

Everytime the error model loads I get something along the lines of this in console:
error.mdl needs to be recompiled

Yeah I have Portal now, it was the Legacy addon system screwing with me.

Is the error the only thing it replaces, or missing textures too?
